NO ONE'S POV:

The hospital was quiet after the doctor announced the passing of her godchild, Gabrielle. It seemed everyone still couldn't believe it, as if they were in a bad dream or nightmare. Gabrielle's parents and friends were still at the hospital, crying nonstop along with the professors who were friends of her girlfriend. Another friend of Gabrielle, none other than Skylar Rodriguez, who she had once talked to and shared meals with in the cafeteria whenever her two best friends were not around, also arrived earlier.

She cried when she heard that Gabrielle, one of her friends, was gone. Even though they had only known each other for a short time, it felt like they had a long connection. When she found out from Gabrielle's classmate that she had been rushed to the hospital, she immediately went there. She didn't even think about her other classes. She just wanted to see one of her friends for the last time.

Gabrielle's body had already been taken to the morgue. Others followed, while Natasha and Gabrielle's friends went home to rest, with some planning to return later. The only ones left were the parents who went to the counter, probably to settle the hospital expenses, and her girlfriend who accompanied Gab's parents. So Skylar was left alone sitting outside the morgue.

No one was taking care to her body yet, and they might have gone for lunch. It was already two in the afternoon. Out of boredom, Sky decided to enter the room where Gabrielle is. She approached the body wrapped in a white blanket. She raised her hand to look at her face for the last time, but before she could fully lift her hands, someone suddenly grabbed her wrist, which widened her chinita eyes. She immediately closed her eyes and was about to scream when suddenly someone covered her mouth.

"Potanginamultohelpshajaksksksksks!!!""

Skylar Rodriguez's struggle against anyone who dared to cover her mouth. "Shhh, don't be noisy or they might hear you." She opened her eyes upon hearing this familiar voice and turned to the person who spoke, none other than Gabrielle, who seemed to be a ghost in her eyes.

What the hell? Am I dreaming? Why do I see my friend getting up from her bed?! If oo, please, someone wake me up right now.

"G--ghost? Are you a ghost?! W--why are you in my friend's body?!" Skylar asked hysterically. I noticed she was about to get up, I mean stand, so I was about to run when she spoke, which stop Sky from running

"Damn it. I'm not a ghost, I'm really alive." Skylar was left thinking and turned to Gabrielle, who was now sitting innocently while staring at her intently. One of them swallowed and Sky was slowly approached her.

"Uh--hm if you're not a ghost and you're really alive, why? I mean, didn't the doctor say earlier that you were dead?" Skylar asked Gabrielle, seemingly confused.

Sky was staring at her as if she still couldn't believe her friend was alive. What is that, a miracle? A second life? She was asking herself in her mind.

"I don't know. Miracle, I guess? All I know is I woke up after dreaming and talking to bro earlier. But you know what? I can't remember anything. Like bruh, my head hurts a lot earlier. " Gabrielle confusely said.

But what the hell, what? She can't remember anything? Her eyes widened as she looked at her and spoke.

"Hah?! You don't remember anything but you know me?!" Sky's late reaction to this. The latter thought about what she said while confusion was etched on her face. After a moment, she spoke while staring at her face.

"I remember you in my mind. We met in the cafeteria, right? You're the one who approached me first and became my friend and I became your friend too. Am I right?" Sky nodded at what the other said while scratching her neck.

"Hmm, you're right. But wait, do you still have any pain? I mean in your body or especially in your heart? Is it hurt?" The other said worriedly and gestured to where her heart was.

They were really talking in the morgue and luckily, there were no other dead people, except for the one beside her who was very much alive now, whom she thought was dead earlier.

Muntik na maging kwento ang babaeng 'to kanina. In Sky's mind.

"Honestly? I can't feel any pain. You think it's a good thing?" Gabrielle asked her curiously. Sky took a deep breath before speaking.

"To be honest, I don't know, but all I can say is that it's better this way so you won't have to suffer anymore. Did you know that almost all of us were going crazy earlier when the doctor said you were gone? Especially your parents and your girlfriend." This is what Skylar said to her friend Gabrielle, which confused her.

"G-girlfriend? I have a girlfriend? I'm gay? What do you mean by that?" She slapped her mouth after saying something she shouldn't have.

"A-ahh nothing, nothing. Forget what I said. By the way, what are you planning to do now? Are you going to tell Tito and Tita?" Sky's attention shifted to her when Gabrielle suddenly stood up and approached her.

"No. And since I woke up from my nightmare, I need you to help me hide from them temporarily." Sky's eyes widened at what her friend said, and she slightly stood up from her seat.

"What?! Are you crazy? Why would you do that?! You're going to hide from them? For what reason?!!" She stood up and couldn't help but shout at what she heard from her friend.

Is she crazy? Didn't she even think about how they feel? She thought to herself before looking at her friend, who had a serious aura.

"I'm not crazy and I'm dead serious about my decision, Sky. I've decided to leave this country for a while to make sure that I really have no illness. I need to see my father's relatives in Scotland who are Doctors so they can check on me and why I can't remember some important people in my life." She said this to her as if it was a final decision and there's no one should stop her.

But why? Bakit kailangan niya pang gawin yun? For what reason?! Skylar's thought to herself.

"And then what? When you get checked and find out that you really have no illness, what will you do next? Will you come back here as if nothing happened and suddenly show up to them? While all of them think you are dead! Are you even thinking, Gabrielle?!" She shouted in frustration at her friend. She heard her sigh before she spoke.

"Then let it be." Sky turned to her, noticing that she was looking at her seriously. "Let them think that I'm still dead so they can't be hurt anymore. Don't worry, I will come back here when I graduate and have something to be proud of and to explain everything to them. My Aunt Kaye also told me a long time ago that she would take care of my education and work there when my illness wasn't so bad, the time she called our house to check on us." Skylar Rodriguez just sighed at her friend's decision.

"Okay fine! Basta wag na wag mo akong isasali sa gulo mo, Gabrielle, I'm out of this. Piste ka talaga!" She said irritably, which only made the latter smile and shake her head.

"Thanks. Don't worry, you're out of my mess." Sky just nodded and they talked about the body that would replace Gabrielle, which should look like her.

"I'll take care of that. My parents have connections in this hospital, so I'm sure no one will find out." Sky assured her.

"Thank you. I owe you a lot, Sky. I'll repay you someday." Her friend sincerely said to her.

"Yeah yeah, whatever bruh." They both laughed again and continued planning the escape without anyone noticing.

I just hope this turn out great. Because if not, I'm really going to be in trouble. Sky thought while listening to Gabrielle who was busy talking.

I'm happy that this girl is alive. She's the only one I consider as my true friend.
