Andre and I went inside after the cold nearly took off our shoes. Inside was slightly warmer than out but I still wrapped my jacket tighter around me. There was no sign of his mom, so I walked upstairs with him. We went inside his room.
His mirror abover the dusty dresser is cracked. One night, Andre got mad at his mom and punched the mirror. I was there, witnessing it all. I decided to come to his place to check on him and spend time with him. I loved Andre so much and when he got shot, I seriously considered doing something horrible to myself. Those thoughts only came out in times of desperate need.
I sat down on his bed and he removed his shirt to have me look at the wound. Andre laid down and I looked at it. No noticeable changes or infection signs. I signaled this indication of good health a thumbs up and a beam. He put back on his loose white t-shirt and jacket.
"Yo, thanks for being here with me, Hailie. You don't know how much it means to me." He said and I blushed severely.
"You're so welcome. To be honest, I love spending the time with you." I said and we were now closer together. Andre's hand was wrapped around my narrow waist and I felt the same butterflies I felt when we first met. We got lost in each other's eyes and then we snapped out of it.
I hoped his hand wouldn't leave my waist because unlike all the other guys that've held me, his actually seemed loving. He doesn't as we lay down on his bed together like usual. I'm up against the wall and he's next to me, almost off the bed. It's a little squished, but it's nice. A clinking sound made itself heard in my jeans pocket and I remembered what I mostly came over here for.
Ever since the events with Andre, I realized how much he means to me. That guys like him don't float around freely in the magical world of being a famous persons child. That he wasn't just going to "hit it and quit it" like everyone else. That's why I sprung last weekend for two infinity rings.
Mine was a compact, gunmetal ring with a diamond studded infinity sign in the middle. And his was a slightly larger gunmetal ring with a plain infinity sign in the center. I saw them at Kay Jewelers and absolutely adored them. I bought the two and stored them in my room until today when I asked Alaina to take me over there. Alaina's probably the biggest supporter of Dre and I. And it's funny because at first she disliked him as much as Dad did.
"So, your birthday's comin' up. What do you want?" He said and I had to hide everything I was about to spill. I knew he'd want to get me the exact same thing that's clinking in my pocket but once I discovered his mom stole over fugging half of his savings, I knew I'd done the right thing.
"Nothing much. I'll be spending it with my family and you already know how they feel about you." I said, linking my hands with his. He removed his arm from my waist and linked it with me.
"I know. It's bullshlit, bro." He said loudly and I laughed. The sun was going down, illuminating everything in his bedroom in a burst of carnation, powder blue, tangerine, gold and lavender. I knew it was the time to do it.
I sat up and Andre got up too. I turned to him, folding my legs Indian style so he could fit.
"What's this about?" He inquired and I had to stifle a giggle. His accent was so adorable, so strong.
"It's come to my attention that the more and more you get shot, the more and more we are away, I always fuggin' miss the shlit out of you. So, thats why I have to do this." I said for dramatic effect. I watch him as his face begins to fall. I want to laugh so hard, but I keep it in. Suddenly, he outbursts in the most insane reasoning ever.
"You breakin' up with me, ain't you?!" He shouted and I give up. I'm laughing so hard, tears are coming out. Andre starts to see how ridiculous he sounded and starts to laugh super hard too.
"Okay, here." I said and without any further explanation, I produce the rings. They're glinting in the sunset and Andre looked at them in amazement.
"Is this for me?" He asked, holding up the plain one. I expect him to reject them because they're not what guys wear. Like, he won't wear it in public so that's one of the reasons I didn't really want to bother. But his face didn't look disappointed. In fact, it looked a little excited.
"Yeah. It's okay if don't want to wear these public. They were like 180 dollars and if you don't like them, just be honest and-" I started. I was interrupted by Andre's plump pink lips mashing against mine. He pulled away to say something.
"Hailie, if I hated 'em, I'd sure as shlit tell you. Now actually, I like these. I'd probably get you the same thing. It's a beautiful ring, for real." He said and I cheered.
Then, Dre did the honors as he slowly slid the studded one onto my ring finger. Then I slowly slid the plain one on his finger. It looked even better in person.
"We're infinite now." I noted and he chuckled.
"Hailie, you knew we already were."
/Okay, I'm so sorry this is so short but I thought this'd be a good place to stop. The picture above is Hai's ring. So, this story's ending soon. We've maybe got a few more after Hailie's birthday, which is the next scene. After that it's going to be Valentine's Day and then the climax for graduation. So maybe only like five more lol. I wanted to complete it before school starts for me. But don't be sad. I've already got a new fanfic out that's going to start being updated after Never 2 Far is over. Okay so QOTC: What's your favorite album? Mine is the SSLP lol. Kk, catch ya later😉~marshallisillmatic\
