They walked by each other's side, the soft humming of the cold wind grazing them. The dim white light was luminous against the surrounding, her hands fidgeting with the fabric of her Saree, his hands on his back. Her face was down, his face up. Slowly, his hand reached to her waist, his fingers brushed against her skin, a whimsy in his touch. A gasp left her lips, her hand reached to her waist holding it securely.
The glimmer of playfulness disappearing slowly and the softness engulfing his eyes. He bent his head down slightly to her and whispered in a gentle tone “Aap thik hain?”
“Ji” She muttered, avoiding eye contact. He took a step forward, he lowered his head to her height, his hand wrapped around her waist, his fingers gripped her waist in a firm yet protective way and a groan left her lips, her eyes fluttered shut. His eyes softened, he whispered “Jaan, tell me what happened?”
“M-My body hurts from working all day” Her voice was small, almost child-like. A sigh left his lips, his hold loosen yet remained steady. She looked up through her eyes, yet his expressions and touch remained reverent. He whispered “Does it hurt so much?”
“Hmm” She nodded slowly, the small pout on her lips made his heart feel warm. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, he stood up, towering up and a gasp left her lips, she felt the earth beneath her feet disappearing. He scooped her in his arms like a bride, her arms wrapped around his neck in shock. A stunned silence fell, the rustling of his feet could be heard. She stared at him with her eyes wide open, she said “Someone will see”
“So?” He asked, his tone casual, his steps moved forward. She lowered her gaze and muttered “What they will think?”
“They will think that a husband is carrying his wife, maybe romance, maybe caring” He flashed an innocent smile to her. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips, she leaned closer to him, pressing her face against his chest and whispered “You are so sweet”
“Just for my sweet Jaan” He said, rubbing their noses together, fist of giggles left her lips and a smile bloomed on his lips. He walked upstairs, his steps were slow, deliberate. His hands held her as if she's gossamer. Her fingers danced behind his neck. He spoke “Jaan it's ticklish”
She grinned and tickled his jaw playfully, the glimmer of whimsy was luminous in her eyes. A whole hearted laugh escaped his lips, his deep voice echoing around the corridor, the corner of his eyes wrinkled and it made her heart flutter with happiness, yet the anticipation remained. His presence felt alluring to her. Her face pressed against his chest yet her eyes remained on his side profile, her main focus on his jaw.
“You are so handsome” She whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. Blush crept up-to to neck, he let out a shy chuckle and muttered “Thanks”
She smiled, he looked adorable. They reached their room, he pushed the door open with his leg and entered, he pushed the door shut and gently made her stand on the ground, reluctantly she removed her arms from him, an invisible pout formed on her lips. He turned and locked the door, he turned towards her, rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, showing his veiny arms, the sacred red-yellow thread—kaalava, on his right wrist made his arms looked even more attractive.
“Take off your Saree” His voice was deep but it held a soft edge, his eyes were locked with her. Her breath caught in her throat, blush spread over her cheeks, her fingers gripped the fabric of her Saree, she whispered “W-Why?”
“I'll message you” He whispered, his voice gentle, his eyes felt tranquil and soft. She shook her head and whispered, her voice barely above a whisper “Y-You don't have to”
