Alluka's POV
It may be a little rude to say, but... I had no relations to Alicia. I just heard about her from y/n. So I don't feel too sad about her being dead. I'm sure Brother feels the same but doesn't want to hurt y/n-nee's feelings. Neither do I! So I decided to just play along.
I was standing on the edge of the front yard and watched Brother and y/n-née answer the many questions that they were bombarded with. I was staring at the now concealed corpse of Alicia Patterson. I did admit, I was curious as to what what under that tarp, but the police would brush me away.
I'm sure y/n-nee and Brother had already known, but this whole investigation is fatal. Since all three of us come from assassin families. Well, I'm not so sure about y/n-nee.
I heard her tell a story that she had some relations with the... "Something" Troupe? I don't even know. She even told me that she comes from a family of people who were responsible for coup d'état and stuff. She said that she was a master gambler as well. And that the L/n family is in close contact with the Zoldyck family.
And you know what I said to that? "Yes! That means this relationship was meant to be! As if I didn't already know that!"
She just sweat dropped.
All of a sudden, a police officer appeared in front of me. He was crouching before me. I gasped, not knowing at all that he was there. "Did you hear anything from outside, miss?"
"Well, I... Um..." I mumbled. Then I mentally slapped myself and told the truth. "I did hear a faint conversation, and then I'm sure the entire neighborhood heard that girl's scream."
"Did you make out any words?"
"No." I lied.
"Did you look out the window to see what was happening?"
"I didn't." I lied again.
I know what you're thinking. Lying to a police officer? Not something I would suggest. Well, maybe. Kleo would, I know that much. But I wanted to tell this to Brother and y/n-née first. Besides, it's not like they'd know I lied. After all, that truth will be hidden in the cat box forever! And if they do find out, I'll just throw a brick at the problem like always.
The police officer stood up and walked over to his colleagues. That gave me a chance to look at that covered corpse again. This time, Brother and y/n-née were standing near it, y/n-née wiping her tears away and Brother rubbing her back.
Paramedics were preparing to take the body away. If y/n-née can't get through this, then how will she make it through the funeral...?

Reader's POV (play music)The police said they were going to continue the investigation tomorrow. I was fairly relieved. There was a headache coming on, and I didn't want to be bothered with the police at all.
"Hey, y/n-née!" Alluka tugged on the hem of my shirt. "Let's watch some cartoons together!"
I smiled softly at her. She always knows how to cheer people up with her charm... Sometimes I look up to her. After all, we all want that beam of light that shines in only a few of us.
As for Killua, he has a certain charm that makes all, and I mean all of my worries disappear. It's called distracting. And boy, do I love his distractions.
Said person wrapped an arm around my shoulder and kissed my temple softly. "Yeah. Good idea, Alluka. Come on, y/n. That headache of yours'll go away."
