Reader's POV (play music)

"Where the hell am I...?" I whispered. However, that whisper did not come out of my mouth. It came from my mind. So I tired to shout something from my mouth, but no sound came out. I looked around into the light. I was well aware that this wasn't reality. Yet, I began walking.

There was no road. No signs or anything. But the directions for my destination were in my head.

I was not wearing my usual attire. I was wearing an all-white jumpsuit with a long v-neck that exposed a bit of my bust. White stilettos were on my feet. Usually, I'd have one hell of a problem fitting in a pair, but this felt as comfortable as my normal (brand of shoe).

I was very cold. It was almost abnormal...

Seriously, where the hell am I?

"Y/n..." I heard a faint voice echo softly in the distance. It sounded strangely familiar, a voice I hadn't heard for almost nine years. Then I recognized it.

"Mom?!" I wasn't sure, since it's been a long time since I heard her voice, but I had a feeling that it was my mother. I picked up the pace and ran to wherever my mom was. "Mom?! Is that you?!"

"It is." The light fog began to twist in the form of a cyclone. Immediately, I skidded to a halt in front of the massive cloud. The swirling air toyed with my h/c hair as the cyclone cleared to reveal a very, very tall woman clad in white, just like me towering over me.

It was like we were twins. She had all my facial features, and all my curves. Now I was certain. "Hi, mom..." I breathed in awe at the sight of my now gigantic mother.

Mom smiled beautifully at me. "Do you like your new clothes...?"

I looked down at myself and frowned slightly. "I don't know if I do, but I think my boyfriend will."

"Ah, that handsome Zoldyck. Killua, was it?" My mom's smile became a little mischievous. "You know, when people say your late loved ones are watching over you? Well, they're half right."

I tilted my head. "What do you mean?"

"That little girl, Alluka? Sometimes, Something allows me to take control of her and see what's happening." My mom admitted.

That explains so much, and yet so little. My mother's expression became serious. "These are dark times, indeed."

My expression became downcast, and I looked at my feet. "Yeah... Alicia..." I snapped my head back up to my mom. "Is she with you?! Can I please see her?" I pleaded.

"Aw, come on, she only just got here. Let her get used to it." I looked back down at my feet, dejected.

"Oh..." Another, more pressing topic came to my mind. "Wait... Another family member came back to life..."

Surprisingly, Mom's took on a shocked expression. "What? Who?"

I bit my lip, hesitant. Just speaking of this person's name was taboo for me, since I just couldn't believe that it was this person who killed my best friend...! So I just went with, "The one that calls me Darling."

Horror mixed into Mom's shocked expression and she gasped. "Oh... Oh no... I wondered why they were gone..."

"Why are they alive once more?! And why did they kill my best friend?!" I asked this question to both my mother and myself. I grit my teeth in anger.

"What? Oh no, it wasn't them that killed Alicia."

"What? Th-then who did?!" I widened my eyes, pressing her.
