Thebes - 3067 B.C.
With a reflection of the sun off a scorpion symbol, an army marched as they were at a distance from another army in front of Thebes outer wall.
Ardeth: <narrating> Five Thousand years ago, a fierce warrior known as the Scorpion King led a great army on a campaign to conquer the known world.
The Scorpion King's army all wielded shields with scorpion emblems on it as the defending army almost looked like they had round shields that look like the type Vikings used. The conquering army all marched before stopping.
The defending army shouted in a War cry as the Conquering army did the same as the biggest one among them was the Scorpion King himself wearing his gold bracelet. The Scorpion King gave an order in Ancient Egyptian as his army rushed towards the defending army as the defending army didn't back down and rushed at them as well.
Both armies clashed, men being thrown over bodies, getting hit in the head knocking them down, slashing them as almost all had little to no armor apart from shields and blades. The Scorpion King hit a troop down and slashed another before he head butted another, kicking him back, slashing him and then another. He was relentless as was his army.
However they weren't relentless enough.
Ardeth: <narrating> after a vicious campaign which lasted seven long years, the Scorpion King and his army were defeated and driven deep into the sacred desert of Ahm Shere.
The Scorpion King and his men all walked through the desert dragging their blades across the sand, holding their shields, all tired with little to no rest and no water either.
They all just walked and walked and walked. The blazing sun hitting them, hunger and thirst building up rapidly, tiredness at full force but they still walked. Sand in the winds hitting their skins, but they still walked.
They just kept walking as now there was just less than five still standing before they fell. Dead.
Ardeth: <narrating> one by one, they slowly perished under the scorching sun until only the great warrior himself was as left alive.
The Scorpion King was now the only one left, walking alone under the sun that took all of his remaining troops and it was close to consuming him as well.
Ardeth: <narrating> near death, the Scorpion King made a pact with the dark god Anubis that if Anubis would spare his life and let him conquer his enemies, he would give him his soul.
The Scorpion King dropped to his knees as he rose his fist into the sky and made the pact. He dropped his arm as a black scorpion, poisonous, rose from the sand and approached him as the Scorpion King grabbed the arachnid as it stung his hand multiple times trying to get freed.
Ardeth: <narrating> Anubis accepted his offer and spared his life.
The Scorpion King bit off the scorpion's head as then grass grew around him and it spread letting bushes and palm trees flourish as it spread all around him into the horizon as he stood up and couldn't believe it.
He yelled into the sky as the Oasis of Ahm Shere was now what this site was known.
Not long in Thebes, the city was under siege once again but this time they were being attacked by these bipedal hairless wolves that wore Egyptian clothing. They were brutal, savage, very relentless. Like a tidal wave sweeping through a village made of sand at the beach.
Ardeth: <narrating> Anubis gave the Scorpion King command of his army, and like an evil flood, they washed away all that lay before them.
The Army of Anubis killed people, threw them off buildings, brought down the sacred columns, and all laid in ruins as fleeing was pointless.
