Izzy's Dirigible

The group was all resting as they had not much to do until they reached their destination. Ahmanet was praying towards the moon as Wade, Jonathan, and Ardeth were talking.

Ardeth; O'Connell does not want to believe, but he flies like Horus towards his destiny.

Jonathan; yes, yes, very interesting. Tell me some more about this gold pyramid.

Ardeth; well, it is written that since the time of the Scorpion King, no man who has laid eyes upon it has ever returned to tell the tale.

Jonathan: where is all this stuff written?

Wade: I've been wondering that a lot.

Jonathan; hello. <pulls the scepter from a hole> got it.

Jonathan held it close to him as he looked at Izzy who was looking at the map.

Jonathan; pretty nice, eh? This is all I have left in the world. The rest of my fortune was lost to some rather unscrupulous characters, actually.

Wade: because you got greedy and gambled it all away.

Ardeth; but if the curator reacted to it the way you say, it must be very important. If I were you, I would keep it close.

Jonathan: my friend, the gods couldn't take this away from me.

Izzy; <grabs it> hey! That's mine!

Jonathan: <pulls it back> no, it's not!

Izzy: <takes it back> keep your hands off of it.

Wade: not even the gods huh?

Jonathan: oh shut it. What about you? Your mummy girlfriend is back and traveling with us.

Wade: she still thinks I'm her husband. Asim, King of Hamunaptra.

Ardeth: it could be destiny.

Wade: or not. She's just stuck in this delusion.

Ardeth; or perhaps you're in denial.

Wade: either way. It won't be meant to be.

Jonathan; what's she doing?

Wade: praying to Khonshu, God of the Moon. Which I've never heard about.

Ardeth: not many do. He's not a very known God.

At the front of the ship, Evelyn was looking out into sandy horizon as Rick approached her and held her.

Rick; hey.

Evelyn: I want him back, Rick. I want him in my arms.

Rick: I know. We taught him well. He's smarter than you and he's tougher than me.

Evelyn: I love him so much. I just can't...

Rick; I know. We both do, and Alex knows that. I'll get him back, Evy. I promise.

Evelyn; I know you will.

Cultist Train

It was already morning as the sun was rising up in the horizon. Lock-Nah was given the annoying task of watching Alex.

Alex: are we there yet?

Lock-Nah: no.

Alex: are we there yet?

Lock-Nah: no.

Alex: are we there yet?

Lock-Nah: no.
