Chapter 16: End of the Adventure

Golden Pyramid of Ahm Shere

Imhotep and Anck-Su-Namun walked down some stairs as Imhotep stepped on symbol on the ground as some black smoke engulfed him and took away a white smoke from his soul as both went away. Imhotep tried to lift some items nearby but that didn't do anything as he tried again and it was useless. He had no more powers.

Imhotep: <Ancient Egyptian> the great god Anubis has taken my powers. It seems he wished me to fight as a mortal.

Outside

Rick hugged Alex as he got up.

Rick: stay here.

Rick started walking towards the Pyramid as Wade gave Alex the key as he and Ahmanet followed Rick.

Inside, Hafez entered a room full of scorpions on the ground as he uncovered the bracelet which he now wore on his left wrist to make them all back off as he saw a giant Scorpion statue with a hole. Hafez stuck his arm inside it as it activated something as the room which was dark now had light and this spread all over the pyramid as it even passed Rick, Wade, and Ahmanet.

Outside, a large scorpion shadow went underneath Alex and Jonathan before going past the pyramid. It went into the desert as the scorpion shadow was compromised of a lot of scorpion shadows that bathe a large portion of the desert in black sands that were in front of the Medjai army.

Ardeth: <Arabic> so it begins.

Outside the pyramid

Alex was grieving over his mother's death while holding the key as Jonathan was next to him tapping the scepter which he still had after all this time.

Jonathan: try to think of it like this, Alex. She's gone to a better place. You know, like it says in the good book.

Alex: the book.

Jonathan; what?

Alex: <looks at the key> that's it.

Jonathan: that's what?

Alex: <stands up> that's it. Come on, Uncle Jon! That's why Uncle Wade gave me the key!

Jonathan: <stands up> what?

Alex; that's it! The book!

Inside

Hafez tried to get his arm out of the hole as Wade, Rick, and Ahmanet walked inside as they didn't even bother with him.

Hafez: you're too late, O'Connells. I have released the Army of Anubis. Lord Imhotep shall soon kill the Scorpion King and take command.

Rick: <grabs a double bladed axe> not after I get through with him.

Hafez started screaming as something was pulling on his arm as he pulled it out as his arm no longer had flesh and just bone with a bit of mucus. Rick and Wade chuckled at this as they all left. They walked a bit more as they entered the place where Imhotep and Anck-Su-Namun just were as Ahmanet stepped on the same symbol as Imhotep and she too got engulfed in black smoke as the smoke got away as she fell but Wade caught her.

Wade: what happened?

Ahmanet tried to do the same as Imhotep but she couldn't do it at all.

Ahmanet; the Great God Anubis... he took my powers. I'm mortal once more.

Wade: Rick, you know what this means?

Rick: that son of bitch doesn't have his powers anymore.

Near the chamber of the Scorpion King, Imhotep and Anck-Su-Namun arrived.
