I Ask

I ask for hands that have never learned doubt
And a mind not made of hesitation
I ask for the good in me to outgrow this flesh
And the bad to subside like every sin made
I ask for the quick recovery of my mortal body
And restoration of the spirit in my soul
I ask for guidance in my uncertain path
And that my life not be in vain
I am no more than a man
In a battle made by my own
Wishing, praying
For the war to be gone
