"ashely? you actually came? i thought you'd be busy ya'know with unpacking and stuff and helping your mom? so i thought-" calum fumbled as laughter exploded from the back making calum's jaw clench in annoyance. "are you going to let me on or continue to ask me a million and one questions?" i laugh. "oh yeah... right, come in," he chuckled stepping to the side. "my mom wasn't home and i didn't want to be by myself"

"well you could've just called me over I could have found something for us to do," he smirked only earning a glare from me. "okay sorry let me introduce you to the band."

"this is ashton" he said pointing to the brown curly haired giggling boy. "this is luke and well you remember mikey right?" he questioned pointing to the familiar tall lanky blond and the now black haired boy. "yeah but i thought his hair was blue."

"it was" they say laughing in unison. "luke... you were at the coffee shop my first day here."

"yeah you're the pretty girl that had the cute little accent." luke smiled earning a glare from calum. "um... yeah i think," i laugh not realizing my accent compared to the boys.

"wow nice calum! calum, nice job you've finally brought a girl home that's actually nice, hot as fuck and she's actually funny and you've managed to let hemmings flirt with her" ashton giggled looking over to luke and ashely together talking on the couch. "shut up irwin-" i muttered.

"what! it's not my fault luke is stealing your girlfriend," he shrugged. "she not my girlfriend... not yet at least," i said making the last part barely audible knowing they'll only tease me even more. "are you guy ready to start or are we just going to stand around." i grumbled snatching my bass from the stand. walking to my place.

as the boys got into position. the music started to play and luke started to sing his eyes focused on me with a smile tugging at his lips "even when the sky is falling down. even when the earth is crumbling 'round my feet"

"even when we try to say goodbye
And you can cut the tension with a knife in here" calum's voice came out cold and bitter probably more than he intended as he sung. "cause i know what'll happen if we get through this," they started to sing in melodic unison.

"and if the earth ends up crumbling down to its knees baby. we just gotta get out. we just gotta get out and if the skyscrapers tumble down and crash around baby. we just gotta get out. we just gotta get out." as the chorus played the tension was clear between the two.

as they finished their last two other songs calum slowly padded his way over to me with two bottles of water in hand. "so what did you think?" he said flopping beside me on to the couch handing me a water. "you guys are fucking amazing." i smiled making room for calum to sit. "thanks i hope we're as good as you say tomorrow." he chuckles. "why?"

"some big time producer is coming to our gig tomorrow and-" he started.

"ashely you should come maybe. we'd appreciate it. you could be my good luck charm" luke smiled giddily interrupting calum. "yeah maybe then you'll be able to remember the lyrics," calum mumbled under his breath. "ahh sure i mean if it's fine with you guys," i stumbled. "i could give you a ride if you need one," luke giggled.

"actually-"

"no she's fine she's riding with me." calum growled cutting me off. "oh... well okay... well i'm excited for you guys but i think i'll just start to head home."

"i'll walk you home... well only if you want me to," luke smiled as i walked towards the door. "luke i only live two houses down. you really don't have to but i'd like that." i laughed walking to the door.

"so ashely what brought you to sydney?"

"nothing really i- we just needed a fresh start i guess." i said watching my feet as i walked. "fresh start from what?" he questioned. "uhm it's complicated." i stuttered.

"oh sorry I didn't mean to pry... sorry... so... ashely i was wondering if maybe you could or wanted to be my date tomorrow... even though calum is picking you up and i know if i'm your date i should be the one to pick you up but i don't know maybe-"

"yes luke i'd like that," i laugh interrupting luke's cute little rant. "i just figured you would say no because you and... cal- wait you.. you said yes." he said in shock making me laugh. "sorry i just expected you to say no because-" i quickly kissed his cheek in hopes that maybe he would stop rambling. "see you tomorrow?" i smile unlocking my door. "tomorrow!" he smiled fixing one of my curls before walking off.
