my heavy eyes fluttered open as the fluorescent colors from the sunset peaked through the translucent curtains. i looked down to find the curly dark haired girl resting on my chest it felt nice to have the small fragile girl wrapped in my arms and having our fingers intertwined together. she was so beautiful while she slept. she was beautiful in general yet broken in so many ways, but she'd never tell me that.

the memory of us talking the entire night away as we stared up blankly at the ceiling. i softly traced over the tanned girls scares on her arm all the way down to her wrist my eyes soften as i noticed some still looked freshly made on the beautiful girls skin. i struggled to set myself free from her grasp. grabbing my jeans and shoving them on. i tiredly dragged my body down stairs to the kitchen to cook dinner for her. i'm sure she's sick of eating pizza. spaghetti sounds good right? right and it's the only thing i know how to cook. "oatmeal... grits? what the hell are grits? lasagna noodles... awe look the little bow tie noodles... they so cute-" i cleared my throat looking back in hopes that no one heard that. (masculinity is fragile) "ah spaghetti noodles."

my body rolled over to cuddle with calum only to find a cold empty space beside me. my heart races at the thought of him being gone. my mind shoots to ethan and his text this morning. tears falling down my cheeks making me yell for calum in a state of panic. i hear loud footsteps clumsily scamper up the steps. i quickly move my body off the bed hiding on the side scared of who would come through the door. "ashely," his voice soft and vulnerable. "ashely what's wrong," he said laughing slightly at my childish hiding spot. "you know i can see you because your hair's so big." he laughs sitting down next to me pulling me into his chest. "what's wrong and i'm not taking a 'it's nothing i'm fine' ashely" he said kissing my temples. "not today," i mumbled.

"ashely-"

"i promise i'll tell you just not today." i interrupted. "okay i won't push you to but i'll be here if you want to talk." he smiled as he stood up. he placed his hand out to help me up. "but just a notion if you're trying to hide from some don't choose the side of the damn bed," he laughed pulling me into a hug. he tossed me his shirt to put on. "now let's go down stairs i'm cooking," he chirped tugging me towards the staircase. "so mister hood two questions what's for dinner and do you know how to cook." i laughed. "well baby girl we're have spaghetti because... that's all i know how to cook." he said sophisticatedly. "how about i help you with cooking everything else," i laughed. "i'd like that," he smiled.

"woah... what the fucking hell... okay i know this is so but... when can i marry you? because fuck this food is so fucking good." he aspirated engulfing me into a hug. "never leave me," he said making the both of us laugh. "...you know we can't stay like this for long," i sigh. "my mom comes home in two days." he smiles lifting my chin. "well that is true but we can make the most of it while we can even if it is for a little while," he pecks my lips getting spaghetti sauce on my mouth.
