Amy and I walked the kids into our room. Anne had a nightmare, and Flash didn't want to sleep in the dark room by himself.

Anne snuggled in between Amy and I as I picked up Flash and sat him in my lap.

"Can we hear another story?" Anne sniffed and tugged my arm.

"A story?" Amy asked Anne.

I grinned and touched Amy's arm. "They want Daddy's stories, dear." I grinned and Amy chuckled. "Alright, dad, you tell the story." Amy said and Anne crawled on her lap.

"Ok...uhm...one time I really wanted to impress your mother. We were around... 15 and 12?" I asked Amy.

"Maybe, I think it was more like 16 and 13."

"Whichever, anyway..."

"I don't know Sonic..." Tails said and scratched his head. "Trust me! This'll be fun!" Sonic grinned and put on a coconut helmet. "Amy won't find this impressive, you know?" Tails said to Sonic. He growled sternly at Tails. "I'm not doing this for Amy." He lied.

"I'm doing it for fun!" He said even though he knew he was lying again.

Sonic jumped into a catapult with a huge grin on his face. "Aimed right over Amy's house...great!" Sonic raised one hand and when he lowered it would be when Tails would shoot him out.

"Come on...hurry up..." Sonic thought. Every hour Amy would come out to see how her birds in the bird house were doing.

As soon as her door opened Sonic lowered his hand and was shot across the beach.

"HI AMY!!!" Sonic yelled at the top of his lungs.

He didn't hear what she said after her high pitch scream pierced his ears.

"My scream was not that high pitched." Amy said to me. "Yeah, sure. Well anyways-"

"I had screamed that you were an-" Amy covered Anne's ears. I quickly covered Flash's ears as well. "Idiot." Amy told me before she removed her hands. I laughed at her. Idiot was not a bad word. Even for a young kid, it wasn't bad. "What?" Amy narrowed her eyes. "That's an ok word for them, Amy." I smiled at her. Amy huffed and I kissed her cheek.

"Is there more?" Anne asked me.

"Not really, your mom got me, slapped me in the back of the head, and we went home." I explained to the kids.

"It's 11:00, Sonic. It's past their bedtime now." Amy told me. "Alright, alright. You two heard Mommy, it's night time."

Anne snuggled into Amy's arms and Flash snuggled into mine. "Goodnight sweeties." Amy said before we all drifted into sleep.
