SonAmy Classic: Bedtime Stories

The Battle (part 2)

Anne sat up, not being able to go to sleep. "What? Uncle Tails left you?" She gasped at me.

"It's okay Anne. Your mother needed more help then I needed." I explained to her. Anne remained silent after that.

"You're gonna continue the story, right?" Flash asked me.

"Of course." I smiled at him.

Sonic woke up an hour later on a boat heading back to Bygone Island.

"A-Amy? Wh-Where's Amy?" He asked weakly. Sticks went over to his side while Knuckles talked to the captain.

"Amy's fine, Sonic. Tails took her back home." She explained to him. Sonic groaned with exhaustion as he sat up. "How far away are we?" He asked Sticks and looked over the boats rails to see the ocean.

"We're closer then we wore an hour ago." Sticks scuffed and let out a little chuckle.

"Can we call Amy and Tails? I want to know she's okay." Sticks sweat dropped. "Uh..." Her eyes darted to the side. "What? Amy's okay, isn't she?" Sonic asked, sounding uncertain. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course she's okay." Sticks smiled at him. Sonic still was uncertain.

"Where's Knux?" He asked her. "Talking to the captain."  Sticks answered. "Go get him. I need to tell him something." Sonic groaned and tilted his head back.

Soon Knuckles arrived and Sonic looked up at him. "Hey Knux..." He said. Knuckles looked scared for his friend. He was genuinely worried. "Can you please tell me how Amy is. I just... I need to know."

Knuckles bit the corner of his lip. "Uh...I can't tell you, buddy. Don't worry though, she's fine." He told Sonic.

"Knuckles, I'm asking you bro-to-bro, how is Amy really? I just need the truth. I'm too weak to do anything even if it angers me." Sonic paused for a second to close his eyes. "I'm too weak to even keep my eyes open for too long."

Knuckles sighed and scratched the back of his own neck. "Well... Amy had a few broken ribs and a bite mark on her. Tails wanted to inspect them quickly."

Sonic sighed and laid down on the boats deck. "Thanks Knux. That's all I needed."

When you the boat docked Sonic stood up, feeling stronger, he tried to run to Tails' house.

As he ran Knuckles and Sticks shared concerned glances before he was out of their sight.

Sonic banged on Tails' door. "Tails! Open up! I need to see Amy NOW!"

Sonics legs were shaking. He barely had enough energy to stand now. "TAILS!!!" He yelled out. He leaned against the door, having no strength to stand on his own.

The door flung open and Sonic fell into Tails arms. "Amy...where's Amy? Is she okay?"

"Sonic, calm down, you'll black out! Amy's fine, she's just laying down. I put a cast around her waist for a few broken ribs." Sonic struggled to stand, so he let Tails drag him to the couch. "Amy and you need to rest for now. You'll both be going through a lot of pain. Just rest okay, buddy?"

Sonic opened his mouth, but couldn't speak. He felt too comfortable and relaxed. His eyes closed and he wasn't able fight off how tired he was.

He was fast asleep within seconds.
