I HATE that faker

•Sonic's POV•

"Dad? Who's Shadow?" Flash asked me. "Shadow? Uh... an old friend. Why'd you ask?" I asked him. "Mom was talking about him a few times today." My senses grew alert and my ears pulled back. "Was she now?" I said sat by Anne's bed. "Yeah, she said she dated him once. Then when she started dating you he came back and you scared him."

"Why is Amy talking about Shadow?" I thought as the door opened. Amy walked in with water glasses and I glared at her. "So Ames, anything you wanna say? Anything about Shadow?" I asked her. "Oh, that's right, he's coming over for dinner tomorrow. I almost forgot." She laughed. "How do you forget something like that?!" I thought angrily.

"Daddy! Can we hear another story about Mr. Shads?" Anne asked as Flash covered his ears. "I don't like Shadow. He dated our mom, Dad's the only one that's supposed to date Mom." Flash growled at Anne. "But Mr. Shads looks cute from the photo I saw in the attic!" Anne whined.

"Photo?"

"Let me see the photo, Anne." I said to her. She pulled out an old photo that had Shadow and I in it. Amy looked over my shoulder and smiled. "That was one of the days you two didn't fight." She smiled. "That was because you were with us that day." I told her and handed Anne the photo.

"Okay, a story about Ol' Shads. Let's see... Amy and I were probably just a few months into dating..."

Sonic kissed Amy on the cheek and Amy giggled at him. "Oh Sonic... You're just the sweetest." Amy grinned at him. They were on the beach together and no one else was around.

Or so they thought...

"Sonic!" They heard an angry voice call from behind them. Sonic turned around and saw Shadow running towards them, preparing for an attack. Sonic grabbed Amy quickly and jumped away from his attack.

"What's your problem?!" Sonic hissed and stood in front of Amy to protect her. "I was supposed to get paid if I fought you last time. I wasn't able to because of your stupid Dark Form!" Shadow growled. "You ruined my chance to get my money!" Shadow hissed at him.

"He's upset over money?" Sonic thought, but stayed on guard. "You were going to hurt Amy! My Ames! My Flower!" Sonic yelled in his defense and his fur stood on edge.

"Flower? Very generic, Faker!" Shadow laughed. Sonic had had enough of Shadow now. "Why don't you just shut up and go back to where you came from?!" Sonic yelled and rushed towards Shadow, ready to punch him.

Shadow dodged and landed across from Sonic as Sonic slid back around to face Shadow. Shadow teleported above Sonic and was about to hit him on the head when Sonic flipped on his back and kicked Shadow across the beach. Sonic waited to see if Shadow would stand up and throw a blow. It was all quiet until Shadow began to stir in the sand. He stood up with hatred burning in his eyes. Sonic simply smirked, ready for any type of attack.

But instead of Shadow heading straight for Sonic, he made a turn at the last second. "What?" Sonic thought then looked back. "Amy!" Sonic raced to catch up to Shadow.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!!" Sonic yelled and he ran faster then he ever had and he jumped and grabbed Shadow's quills. They both went tumbling to the sand as Sonic pulled on Shadow's quills.

"Hey!! Ow!! Stop that!! That hurts!!" Shadow whined and tried to slap Sonic. "You little pest!" Shadow hissed and grabbed Sonic's own quills.

"You two stop!" Sonic and Shadow both  let go of each other's quills as Amy grabbed their ears. "Hey! What are you doing that to me for? Shadow started it!" Sonic yelled out. "You two are acting like children! Shadow you leave NOW or I'll make Dark Sonic come out !" Sonic and Shadow both widened their eyes. "You can do that?" They asked. "Yes, now Shadow, LEAVE!!" Shadow bolted away as soon as Amy let him go.

Then Amy let Sonic and go and he rubbed his ear to ease pain. "Can you really make 'him' come out?" Sonic asked Amy. Amy nodded at him. "But I won't tell you how or do it unless it's necessary." She smiled at him. Sonic nodded and hung his head. "Sorry for going off on Shadow. He just- struck a nerve, you know?" Sonic chuckled embarrassingly. Amy kissed Sonic quickly on the lips. "It's okay, I'm not mad at you. Your ears are just too cute and I wanted to pinch them!" Amy giggled.

"Eww Daddy that's weird!" Flash said and pretended to retch. "Shadow isn't very nice, is he?" Anne asked me. I shook my head. "He's changed, though." Amy quickly added. "He even has given money to charities." She smiled. I rolled my eyes. "Be prepared, kids. Alright, goodnight." I smiled at them and Amy and I kissed their heads.

We turned off the light and cracked the door, then finally went to our room.
