SonAmy Classic: Bedtime Stories

Anne was brushing her teeth while I tucked Flash in. Anne ran in with the speed from her father and jumped in bed. I narrowed my eyes at her. "No running Anne. We don't need another fire." I told her. She giggled and I tucked her in.

"I have a funny story for you two tonight. It's about your father." I smiled at them. They immediately grew interested and sat up, ready to listen.

"This was a few weeks after Sonic and I met." I explained and cleared my throat.

"Come on, Sonic!" Amy pleaded and splashed the salty water at his feet. Sonic rubbed his arm nervously and stared at the water. "But it's scary Amy!" He complained to her.

Amy rolled her eyes and walked up to him. She grabbed his arm and he looked at her. His eyes were whispering please no.

"I promise the waters not bad, Sonic. We won't even go deep." She smiled at him. Sonic shook his head and took a step back.

Amy put her hands on her hip and her eyebrow twitched. All she had wanted was one day with Sonic and her by the beach. That's all she had wanted, couldn't she have that?

"Sonic The Hedgehog! I will drag you knee high into the ocean if you don't come here now!" Amy said, very demanding.

Sonic slowly took a few steps back towards her. He was still a full head taller then her, so he figured her "knee high" level wasn't too bad.

As Amy took hold of his arm tightly; they began to walk deeper. Slow foot steps got them to knee level.

Amy let him go and he slowly got adjusted to the water.

"Hey! It's not that bad!" He grinned. He was about to sit in the water, but then Sonic yelped. His eyes grew wide as he grabbed Amy.

A chorus of laughter erupted as Sonic ran back to land and climbed a tall tree. Amy dangled from his arms. He was wide eyed and breathing heavily; looking at the water as if it was blood filled.

Amy was growling angrily when she managed to escape Sonics tight grip. She stomped to the water and picked up a small toy submarine. It probably hit Sonics leg and he got spooked. She grew angrier when Tails and Knuckles fell out of bushes rolling on the ground. They were clutching their stomachs and laughing as hard as they could.

"BOYS!!" Amy screamed and summoned her hammer. "Prepare to...DIE!!" The two took off running as Amy chased them around the jungle.

Sonic was never comfortable around water again.

Anne was gasping at me as I finished the story. "Uncle Tails and Knuckles ruined Dad! That's why he hates water!" She exclaimed. Flash was laughing at the story. "HA! Dad said it was because a shark chased him!"

The door cracked open from behind me.

"What's with all the laughter?" Sonic asked us.

I smiled and stood beside him. "Just telling the real reason you're afraid of water." I said and he raised an eyebrow. "The shark?" He asked me. I giggled as I walked away from him. I kissed Anne's head and he kissed Flash's head. Then we switched and told them goodnight. Finally, we headed to bed ourselves.
