•Amy POV•

"We had our own close encounter with the sea once." I told Flash as I tucked him in. He and Anne refused to make eye contact with each other. Sonic was tucking Anne into bed. She slid down into her blankets, still upset.

"When? What was it like?" Flash asked me. His young mind was now focused on our story instead of anger. Anne sat back up and looked at me excitedly. "A story? We can get one now?" She gasped. I nodded and they clapped their hands.

"Sonic, do you mind if I tell them that story." I asked him. Sonic blushed and opened his mouth to respond, but was caught on his own breath. "Well- Yeah... I guess..." Sonic scratched his neck uncomfortably. "You uh- You want me in here too?" I nodded at him. "Just in case..."

"Okay, story time!"

"AMY!!" Sonic screamed as tears fell from his cheeks "NO! How could you?!" Sonic sobbed and hit the ground with his fists.

Amy was falling from the sky. The view of Eggman's plane was the last thing she would see. She wasn't screaming, she was too shocked. She never thought this was how she'd die. Her life had felt so short. Her mind emptied as the water engulfed her.

"It's too late now, Sonic. You should've known this would happen eventually." Eggman snickered. "You monster! She was my everything!" Sonic spat at Eggman. Eggman simply shrugged. "Then go after her. I'll just continue on my path to the village." Sonic hissed angrily at Eggman's response. Sonic pulled out his communicator and called Tails. "Go after Eggman. I'm saving Amy."

"What?! That's not fair!" Eggman shouted.

Sonic weakly stood up and jumped off of Eggman's plane. Sonic dived into the water with ease. He didn't even care that he was in water. He just wanted Amy.

"Amy... Where is she? Where is my Amy?" Sonic thought worriedly. "There's no way I can save her. I can barely see!" Sonic didn't know if it was possible or not, but he swore he was crying in the water.

"Not Amy, please not her! She doesn't deserve to die! She doesn't deserve this!"

"Do you save her?!" Anne shouted, interrupting the story.

"Of course he does! Moms right there!" Flash said and stuck his tongue out at her.

"Hey! You two stop that!" I scolded at them. I was sitting in Sonic's lap. He held me by the waist tightly. His head was resting on my shoulder. He wouldn't let me go. He wasn't fond of the day I'm telling the kids about. It was a day that scared him. He always thought the most horrible things about himself and that day. I put my hand on his head and rubbed his ears as I started the story again.

Sonic eventually found Amy's body and pulled her and him up to the surface of the ocean. Waves splashed and crashed into them as Sonic swam towards the shore.

"Stay with me, Amy! Come on I'm almost there! I'll save you, I won't let you die!"

Sonic got to shore within 15 minutes and pulled Amy up. "A-Amy... Please be okay. Talk to me, Ames. Please!" Sonic tried to do CPR by pushing down on her chest. It was hard for him to see when tears were streaming down his face. "Amy! Don't leave me here alone! You can't do that! You're everything!" He cried out. He felt like throwing up, tears and snot were streaming down his face.

"Not Amy! Please!"

Suddenly Amy started to start coughing out water. "O-Oh my G-God... Ow..." Amy hissed and clutched her stomach as she coughed and threw up. "Amy!" Sonic gasped and quickly wiped off any fluids he had on his face. "You're okay!" He cried and hugged her. "She's okay... She's okay..."

Sonic had never held her so tightly in his arms before.

"That's it. That was our adventure." I told the kids. "That must've been scary." Anne said. "I'm never going in the water! Nope! Not ever!" Anne declared. Sonic remained silent, but wrapped me in his arms tighter. "Well, that's your choice. Goodnight you too. No more threatening or staying up." I said to them sternly.

"Come on, Sonic. Let's go to our bed." I whispered and he and I both stood up. "Night sweeties!"

"Night mom!" They called.

"Night dad!" They yelled.
