SonAmy Classic: Bedtime Stories

The Battle (part 3)

Anne was tugging on my chest fur. "Daddy...you fell asleep? But I thought you told us you only slept with Mommy."

I blushed. "I sleep with your Mom and by myself, Anne." Flash snickered at her misunderstanding. Anne stuck her bottom lip out and poured at him. "Dad! Did you see him! He's such a butt!"

"Dad!" Flash yelled. "Anne just called me a butt!"

"You two calm down or no more story." I narrowed my eyes at them as they crossed their arms and looked away from each other. "Ready to continue?" I asked them. They slowly nodded.

Sonic tossed and turned in his sleep. He was having an awful nightmare.

"A-Amy... D-Don't leave..."

Tails sighed as he looked at Sonic. He felt sorry for his friend, and he felt sorry he had to go through all this. Tails grabbed a blanket from the nearest closet and put it on top of Sonic.

"Amy...Amy..." Sonic shivered and hugged the blankets tight to his body. Tails left the room and to where Amy was. She was still awake, but very tired and sore.

"Amy, you need to sleep." Tails told her. "I can't when Sonics like that. I hear him calling out to me, and I can't move from this spot." Amy sighed. "Sonic is fine, you need to sleep. He's fast asleep, you need to be as well."

Amy sighed and closed her eyes. "I'll try..." She said and sighed once again.

(Hours later)

Sonic woke up and sat up with tears in his eyes. "Amy? Amy!" Sonic threw the blankets off him and he ran down the hallway, looking through every room for her.

When he came to her room his eyes filled with more and more tears. "Sonic?" Amy said to him. "Amy... I let this happen... I-It's all m-my fault."

Amy stroked Sonics quills in a hopeless attempt to calm him down. "Do you...remember anything now?"

Amy slowly nodded. "It took awhile, but I remember."

"Tell me..." Sonics entire body shook with grief.

"Eggman... He knocked me out then chained me after he hit me in the stomach. There was this... other person there. He wanted my DNA... Eggman took my blood and... and part of my rib." Amy's head was now filled with images of her beating and the large amount of blood Eggman stole from her.

"Sonic... I-I was so scared... But then there was this explosion and you came. I-I got hit with a rock and I couldn't remember."

Sonic sat down on the edge of her bed and cuddles her in his arms. "I won't let anyone or anything hurt you again. I promise... I'll die if you get hurt again..."

Once Amy and Sonic were feeling better; Amy explained to the group about what happened in more detail. They all were shocked and in tears.

"Amy... We're so sorry... Do you know what he looked like?" Sticks asked her. Amy shook her head and leaned against Sonic for help. With the cast on her body it was usually hard to stand or even sit.

"All I know is he was tall and looked... Kinda robotic." Amy yawned and put one arm around Sonic. "I'm gonna go take Amy home... We'll talk about this later, ok guys?" They all nodded as Sonic lifted Amy up and ran her quickly to her house.

"Did you ever figure out who it was?" Anne asked me. I nodded at her. "Who was it?" Flash asked and crawled onto my lap. He got nose to nose to me and asked me again. "Who was it Daddy? Anybody we know?"

"Not anyone you two know. We fought him a few times before he came back that day. We fought him once more after that, we haven't seen him since."

"What was his name?" Flash and Anne asked me.

"His name is Lyric. He's a big giant snake. He wears a machine that gives him arms and allows him to breath." I told them. "He sounds... UGLY!!" Anne screamed. Flash nodded, agreeing with his sister.

"He really is." I whispered to them. They giggled at me. "Is there more to the story dad?" Flash asked. "Well of course, not much though. Still want me to continue?" I asked them.

"YAS!!!" They screamed.
