Chapter Twenty-Two: Wolf

Nathan's pov

I look around me at the pack of wolfs. I'm surrounded. Theres no way I can get out of this. I can't fight them all off.

They bare their teeth and growl at me.

"Enough." A voice calls out to the wolfs.

They all go silent at that single word. It must mean that the voice belongs to the pack leader.

"This is quite a surprise. What are you doing here?" The wolf asks.

"I'm looking for something." I answer.

"Well you should leave. What you are looking for is not going to be in my territory. Besides why look here? Are you accusing me of taking something?" The wolf asks.

"Yes. You took something that belongs to me." I answer in a growl.

The wolf laughs making me growl.

"We haven't took anything from you." He replies. "Leave before you start war between our two packs.

"I smell her here." I yell. "You can't deny it."

I hear him chuckle.

"A girl huh?" He asks chuckling some more. "I don't believe a girl has come through here in weeks."

"I know she has." I respond angry.

"If you say so." He says.

I growl.

"My wolfs can check around again but I highly doubt that they won't smell what your looking for." He answers.

As he says that some of the wolfs leaves the circle smelling around. The places they left are still as guarded as the rest of the circle though.

"Of course you would say that. They would be lying. Her scent is impossible to not to pick up." I yell.

"Thats because you two are mates yes?" He asks.

"Yes." I answer.

"Then of course you would smell her even though she's far away." He tells me.

"She's not that far away." I answer. "I can tell."

"Thats interesting." He said. "But we don't have her."

"Stop lying." I say angry.

"Why would I be lying?" He asks. "Why would I want the girl?"

"How am I supposed to know that." I answer.

He laughs.

"Go home. Theres nothing here that you would want. Especially no girl." He says.

I growl angrily moving towards the wolf.

The wolfs around me growls.

"I will say this one more time. Go home, Child." The wolf leader says.

Raven's pov

I look over at Jack.

"I'm guess letting me go won't count as making me comfortable?" I ask Jack setting Jaylin's apple onto the table deciding not to finish it.

Jack gives me a small smile and nods.

"Well then.." I say a little unsure, "How long are you planning to keep me here?"

"For as long as my Master Jaylin wants." He answers.

I nod like I understand what he means by that.

"Could you tell me why he wants me here?" I ask him trying to get some information out of him.

He shakes his head no.
