The bell rang to let us off to our second class, but Mr. Boring over here didn't let us out until later. So now he was making us late. Our second class was getting ready to start so when he let us leave most of the kids in the class room rushed out the door trying to get to their next class as fast as they could.

"Hey, wait up!" Skylar yelled at me trying to catch up.

I walked a little faster trying to get away from him, but failed. He grabbed my arm, and turned me around to face him.

"May I ask why you are trying to get away from me?" He asked me as he held onto my arm.

I rolled my eyes, and the bell rang.

"What do you want?" I asked him annoyed, "We are going to be late for our next class now because of you,"

"I was actually just going to help you," He answered me as he let go of my arm.

I laughed.

"How are you going to help me?" I asked him questionly with a smirk, "You going to give me a piggy back ride to my next class? Yeah that would be a great help,"

"I was actually going to tell you that you aren't the only emo person around here," He tells me igoring my piggy-back statement.

"Well thanks for telling me," I told him as I turned around to go to my next class.

"Theres about four or five more," He says after me, "I'm not sure because they are never really at school,"

"And may I ask why you are telling me this?" I asked turning back around to face him. I had to step back because he was closer then I thought.

"Just because I want to, but also because it is going to cost you," He says smirking a bit.

I rolled my eyes, again.

"I'm not the one who asked you if there are any more people here that was like me. If you remember correctly your the one who just told me that. So no I don't need to pay you anything in return for any of your information, if you want to tell me something then please feel free, but right now your just making me late to class," I said annoyed by him.

"True, but if you don't wan to pay then I just won't tell you," He said turning around to leave.

A bit of me wanted to chase after him and ask where the other people like me are, but the other part of me felt like this was a trap. I shake my head, and walked to my next class.

Later at home.....

"There were these people just like Raven hanging around our side of the school today. They seemed like they were around Ravens age too," My nerd brother said at dinner, "If you ask me, they were ditching school."

"Really?" Said my dad in a surprised tone.

"Yeah," Nerd boy answered as he got more mashed potatos.

"Well, I don't want you hanging around them do you understand me Raven?" My mom asked taking a bite of her food.

"But then they won't be any use to me." I said upset.

Clearly I am going go be hanging out with them.

"Raven, listen to your mother, we don't want you to get into any trouble here," My dad said in defense for my mom.

I let out a big sigh.

"I didn't get into that much trouble," I lied.

Okay yeah that one was a lie. I ditched school to hang out in the cemeteries, not that I won't do that now. It's just that I don't know any cemeteries around here.... Yet.

"Okay maybe a little," I said, "But its different now."

"How so?" My dad asked looking over at me.

Nerd Boy seemed to understand. I guess he knows that I have been the only Emo kid in all of our other schools, so he knows that this time its different.

"Dad, come on," Nerd Boy said, "Its like your Raven-"

"Gross," I muttered, but only nerd boy heard me. That made him put a smile on his face as he continued explaining to dad, "And if you were Raven wouldn't you go out, and hang out with mom?"

I raised my eyebrow a little bit lost. How did this turn into a conversation about him and mom?

"This is a different situation," Mom said.

Nerd Boy looked over at me with those sorry eyes. I smiled at him letting him know that its okay and that at least he tried to help me.

"Mom, Dad, I thought you wanted me to make friends?" I asked them a little bit angry now.

"Yes but-" Mom started to say but I inturepted her.

"How can I make friends if you don't let me?" I tell them trying to twist their words on them.

"Find other people to be your friends." My mom answered quickly taking a drink of her milk.

"Thats really mean," I tell her as I glared at her.

We don't even know these people.

"Yeah, well..." She said with a shrug.

"Dad tell mom that you can't judge people that way," I said annoyed. Even though they all know that I judge people that way but whatever.

"Just.. Just don't get into trouble," Dad answered trying not to be in the center of this.

"Thank you," I say getting up from the table, and giving him a kiss on the cheek. Then I went back to my seat and began to eat again. I couldn't help but smile. I had actully left a soft black kiss mark on the side of his cheek.

"May I go call Mick?" Nerd Boy asked as he finished his food.

"Whos Mick?" I asked confused.

"Sure," My mom answered smiling happy to have one normal kid.

Nerd Boy left the table. I got up about five minutes after him, And went into my room. Mom and dad never answered me but oh well. I had just started to play the song Pain by three days of grace very loudly. Sadly it didn't last long at all because my mom came into my room and began yelling at me to turn it down. I rolled my eyes but listened. I don't know how but some how I drifted off to sleep.
