Chapter Nine: The walk

"They are kind of strange," Annette told me.

I laughed.

"That is true, but they do seem nice to hang out with," I say.

I looked around at the graveyard wondering why thr trees are surrounding this graveyard. There has to be a gate letting people in isn't there?

"They are cool to hang out with that is true," She told me sitting down by a grave stone. I sat down next to her. "But you know they can be-"

"Strange? Weird? Total boys?" I say for her.

She laughed.

"Yeah," She said, "Hey look I hope you don't mind Marissa she takes some time to get used to,"

I pulled a piece of grass out of the ground and riped it up into tiny pieces.

"Yeah I know. I kind of figured that. I mean with her awesome attuide," I tell her.

"Hey just don't get so pissed at her okay? She just dosen't trust new people," She said to me grabbing my arm.

I looked over at her confused and alittle bit frightened. They are keeping something from me. Something big. But what could it possibility be? I nodded and she let go of me.

"Can you promise me something?" She asked me.

"Um maybe what is it?" I asked.

"That you will be careful," She answered.

"Um, okay," I tell her confused.

"No I mean it. Raven you have to promise me," She said looking me dead in the eye.

"Annette," I said softly, "Whats going on? What aren't you telling me? I know that we just meet today and shit but still, I have a feeling that all of you guys are keeping something from me and I just don't know what. Annette? Am I losing my mind?"

She shoke her head.

"I will tell you later," She told me, "But I am not allowed to right now, I'm sorry,"

What dose she mean not allowed to? What is going on?

"I think we should go back now the guys are probably going to start looking for us," She tells me.

I nodded and we both got up.

"Don't tell them what I told you, And don't even think about what I told you okay?" She said.

"Um okay," I answered.

She nodded and we started to head back to the guys. It seemed a shorter walk then when we came. I guess its because I had alot on my mind the last time. Or maybe its because I was thinking we were far away when we really wern't that far. Who knows. But trust me I know that I'm going to have alot on my mind tonight. Probably won't be able to go to bed at all. We arrived back to the guys and I cleared my head.

"Hey," Nathen said with a smile, "Welcome back,"

"Thanks," I told him.

Annette walked over to Josh and he huged her from behind.

"Yeah sure whatever," Marissa said.

"I thought you left?" I asked confused.

"Well I came back duh." Marissa said rudely.

"Its probably time to go," Nathen says.

All of us nodded in agreement except Marissa.

"I think we should stay here abit longer," Marissa said, "We can find out more stuff about each other," She said the last part looking directly at me.

Just then I saw a boy running towards us. Then I realized that it was my brother Max.

"Whos that monster? He isn't welcomend here," Marissa said getting up from the gravestone she was sitting on.

"Um sorry I'll be right back," I told them running over to my brother.

"Hey sis," Nerd boy says to me.

"Hey? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Mom called the school and said that we needed to know that she couldn't pick us up today so we had to walk home, and then you didn't come out of the school when the bell rang so I decided that you were here," He told me and looking over my shoulder at my friends, "Is that Nathen?" He asked with a smile.

I nodded.

"NATHEN AND RAVEN SITTING IN A TREE-" He shouted. I covered my hand over his mouth. Nerd Boy started laughing. I blushed a little, And took my hand off his mouth.

"Hey piggie back ride?" I asked him.

He looked at me confused.

"What?" I asked.

"Your being nice to me. Did you hit your head?" He asked.

I smiled.

"Actully, Yes I did but still piggie back ride?" I asked.

"Well since that you will probably never ask me that ever again I'm going to say yes," He told me.

I laughed and he jumped on my back.

"Well lets go meet your friends," He told me. I laughed again and walked back over to my friends and sat down. Nerd Boy sat down in my lap.

"Guys I want you to meet my brother Max, Max this is my friends," I tell them.

"Its nice to meet you all, I already know Nathen though," Max said with a smile.

"Yes you do, how could I forget you little dude," Nathen said.

"Hello Max my name is Annette and this is my boyfriend Josh he dosen't talk much," Annette told him.

"Well hello Annette and Josh you guys look lovely together," Nerd boy says nicely.

I looked down at him and realized he has red stain in his shirt.

"Max," I wispeared.

"Yes?" He whispeared back me.

"Your hurt," I said quitely to him, "What happened,"

He looked down at the red stain, "Nothing just fell," He told me.

"Come on now I'm not that stupid," I tell him.

He looked at me and bit his lip.

"Micky did it," He answered and I tensed up, "But it was a accident,"

"What happened," I said.

"I don't know," He said quitely.

I believed him. Because I can tell in his voice that he was telling me the truth. The big thing about Micky is that his brother is Nathen. I looked over at Nathen and gave him a dead stare. I guess I am angry at him because his younger brother hurt my brother. And I'm mad at him because thay are related. I don't know. But I am going to have a little talk with Micky about why he hurt my brother and I don't care who Micky is related to.
