Did Aaron seriously ask me what I wanted him to make me?, I thought. Can I please have you, I wanted to ask. Man it's a good thing he couldn't hear my thoughts.

"Are you even real? Oh my gosh. I just wanna stuff you in my pocket and never let you go." The words tumbled out of my mouth before I could register I was saying. I put a hand over my mouth, did I really just say that?! Aaron's face lit up. He wasn't doing that crooked smile I couldn't get enough of. He was smiling so hard. I think he was suppressing laughter. Then he chuckled. Which turned into a flat out laugh so deep, his chest moved up and down with movement . At least we was laughing, not thinking I was a creep. Once he had calmed down from his hysterical laugh, Aaron leaned in closer to me. He didn't say anything, he just leaned in. I thought my face was going to catch on fire.

"I like you too." Aaron put two fingers under my chin and I dropped my hand from my mouth. "But we can't do that now, I'll fix you something and we gotta head back to school so you don't miss fifth period." He dropped his hand from my chin but didn't drop his hold on my gaze.

"Can I just have a grilled cheese?" I asked. Man I love grilled cheeses. And by the looks of it he was gonna do a pretty banging job at it. I watched Aaron move around the kitchen getting the supplies for my sandwich (bread butter cheese and a pan, not that difficult). I tried making a conversation...

"So um, for our homework, do you wanna meet up and do it, or do you wanna FaceTime? What are you feeling?" Aaron didn't look up from his pan when he answered me.

"Well, my family is a little, how do you say this, um jacked up so can we meet at your house? I'm more of a face to face kind of guy." Crap. I didn't want Aaron to see my parents fighting. I scratched my head.

"Er- I don't know if that's a good idea. My parents are um..." I trailed off. How could I put this in a way where I wasn't telling the truth, but I wasn't lying? Then Aaron said the thing I feared most to say.

"It's okay Noah. I know they're getting a divorce. Don't be ashamed." He turned off the stove and came to my side. He put a heavy arm around my back as if he was supporting me. I swallowed hard.

"H-how did you know that?" I said barely above a whisper. What in the world?

"I heard you at the lockers with that guy..."

"So you were eavesdropping on us?" I said still whispering.

"Yeah, sorry.." Aaron straightened up and was gonna walk back over  to the stove but I grabbed his sleeve. Dang it hurt to move my arms.  I pulled him close to me and wrapped my arms around his strong torso. Is possible to love someone you barely knew?

"Don't be... Thanks for saving me." Aaron wrapped his arms around me lightly as if one touch would break me, and rested his cheek on top of my head. Yeah, I think it was possible.

The grilled cheese was heavenly, and I'm not just saying that because it's maker was heavenly looking. The cheese was so gooey and yummy. The bread was toasted just right and wasn't too hard where it'd hurt my teeth, but it wasn't too soft so I felt I was slurping it up. So good. I finished in two bites. After Aaron cleaned up the kitchen, just like before he carried me down the stairs but added a little spin once we reached the bottom. I giggled as he put me down. How could his family be jacked up if he was so perfect. In the car we listened to music. Great music. (GDFR, 1738, and watch me whip and nae nae). It was hype. I hummed instead of singing the songs, so I didn't embarrass myself more than I did upstairs. And a couple octaves lower than my voice, Aaron hummed too. It sounded like a bass guitar or even a cello.  I checked my phone, it was 12:27. I had three minutes to get to fifth period. Aaron's house wasn't that far from school so I wasn't worried. And before I knew it we were in the parking lot. Once parked , Aaron turned off the car and got out. He went over to my door and help me down. When  I got out that's when he took my hand and we walked inside (HE HELD MY HAND!). He walked me to my locker. The hallways were busy because kids didn't wanna be tardy so they were scrambling to their lockers for books and stuff. I didn't care if I was late now, because I was with Aaron. I tried doing my combo with  one hand but it wasn't easy so (unfortunately) he let go of my hand so I could get it open.
