After our like trillion second long hug, Dakota released me pulled me inside and slammed the door. She looked different since the last time I saw her. Her long brown hair was at shoulder length, and her pale white skin was tan. She was taller than me by like a foot. Dakota had a cartilage piercing in her left ear and three pierced wholes in each. And also a nose ring. Dang.

"Look babe, I know I'm hot, but you don't have to stare." She said. I giggled. See Dakota was a very sarcastic person. Which was my very favorite thing about her, she reminded me of Cara Delevingne from Paper Towns, except Dakota wasn't a lesbian.

"Don't flatter yourself toots." I replied. Dakota giggled.

The next couple days were really fun with Dakota. We had pizza, Taco Bell, and McDonald's each night and we'd stay up watching Twilight or The Longest Ride. Total girl stuff. It was just like old times. It was Saturday and we were sitting in the kitchen deciding what to do, since we could really go out cause I didn't have school, and cause I babysat Kila's sister last night. Normally on Saturdays Jake and I would go on our annual bowling dated but since he was such a butt and he dumped me I had to find another thing to do. Speaking of boys...

Aaron and I talked at lunch and science but really after our first kiss and maybe the hand holding in class that one day, nothing romantic was happening, which honestly made me sad. I like wasn't used to this... Like, liking somebody and not being with them. I mean, so far I knew his deep darkest secrets and I knew how his lips felt on mine, how his fingers had brushed against my waist and held my hand. How babe would fall out of his lips at almost an instant when he saw me.

And I missed him. I missed him like crazy. His cunning voice when he murmured my name, his gentle touch, his sweet lips. I missed him.

But I definitely was not going to tell him that. I wasn't going to be the one to speak first. I'd had enough boy trouble, me wanting a relationship and the guy wanting it for different reasons. Nope, nope, nope. If this was gonna be serious he was gonna be the one to speak first.

And I had no idea how long that was going to take.

"Maybe we could go rollerblading." Dakota suggested. I shook my head.

"Nahh, too dangerous plus you know that'd be difficult with only one foot!" I exclaimed, gesturing to my foot.

"Scaredy cat." She snickered. I rolled my eyes. "Movies and maybe grab something after?" She asked. I nodded my head excitedly. Perfect.

"Yeah sure, let me go change real quick." Before she could answer I was running up the stairs to my room, well not really running because of my foot but still. When I finally arrived I headed straight to my closet. I pulled out my jeans and red flannel and white fitted tee, comfy and presentable, and hobbled back down the stairs.

"So what do you want to see? I'm thinking, Fantastic 4 or maybe Avengers 2." Dakota said to me, pulling out her wallet. I shrugged.

"I honestly don't really care. You pick, I'm here for the popcorn." I said. Dakota giggled, and stepped up to the ticket booth.

"Two for the Avengers please." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a twenty dollar bill. The man inside took it and said 'theatre three, enjoy'. Then Dakota and I went over to the line for food and placed our orders.

"I'll have a small popcorn and a sprite, thanks." I said and stepped to the side so Dakota could order.

"And I'll have a large icee, cherry, a medium coke a large popcorn and sour patch kids." She said. I looked at her incredulously. She shrugged." What, I'm on my period, I need two times the food of an average person, don't judge." I laughed. When we got our food we started on our way to our movie. That's when I saw him.
