Her Secret

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey readers!

I know I've been inactive here. Lately college just barged into my life making it a hell lot busy that it usually is. I found out that just writing is difficult for me in this heavy schedule specifically designed for engineers because who are we but just machines living as humans. Nevermind my frequent ranting.

Moving forward, I'm here to announce that I have started posting my poems and other writing prompts on Substack. Alongwith that I'm planning to post short excerpts from Her Secret.

Now, coming to the most important information that I want you guys to know.

Her secret has gone under heavy formatting. I honestly don't know what came up on me. It was just a rainy day. A random rainy day when I was sitting in my usual space, the sofa on the very corner of the living room. That's basically where I live in the house most of the times.

So, it just came upon me and I scrolled back to all the way to my prologue and made it my mission to edit my book when I'm not even sure if I'm halfway done.

I found out that I've been overwriting.

Yes, it was a major setback in the completion of the book. However I did correct a lot of plot holes, grammar mistakes that I still think are there and changed and removed a lot of scenes.

In short, the version of Her Secret that is uploaded here--however much short--is no more alive in the actual first draft that I'll be sharing with my beta readers.

I'm aware that you guys are honestly tired of reading the updates of the book. I am too. I really want to give my best here though. So, you'll have to keep up with me.

Therefore, my final version of the first draft will be posted here and on Substack for the beta readers to read. I'm honestly giving you guys a free entry to the group because I need reviews.

I need people to tell me that what I've written is not bad. That it's going to be worth it. That I can build up a whole new world and then portal you all into it through my words. I need the validation. I really do.

Hence, I'm here, telling you guys of my future plans.

Hopefully, the book will be completed in June-July and before my college starts so I can give my time to my second year as well as the marketing of the first draft. It's 2 more months, but please do wait.

I'm going to here though, on my Instagram and soon to be YouTube, posting about my life and my book. So you'll be updated on what this silly girl who can't get enough of editing does.

I do hope you all stay with me. No matter how much inactive I've been.

I am also thinking of sharing my poems with my Wattpad audience. I'll be thinking of a name for the book first and then posting my poems under it. I hope you guys support it too. Because poems have always held a deeper meaning for me.

I don't just write poems, I bleed myself dry.
