I woke up to my dad shaking me. I groaned and pushed his hand away. "Harleen we have to get to the airport" he said softly. I got up and stared daggers at my dad. "I DON'T WANNA MOVE!" I yelled at him. He sat on my bed and grabbed my hand.
"Harleen I know it's hard for you and it isn't any easier for me but I really have no choice!"
"Dad you always have a choice!"
"Harleen I'm sorry this time I don't we are in a lot of debt and if we don't do something we'll go bankrupt"
I took a breath and looked up at my dad. "I understand dad I'm sorry but I'm just taking this really hard. I said. He told me to get dressed then we would go. I got up and took a shower. I came out on my towel and put on my black sweats and a white shirt. I added some concealer, eyeliner and mascara then helped my dad move the suitcases in to the taxi. Once everything was done my dad told me to get into the taxi I turned around took in the sight of my house one last time. I tried to memorize all of it- the walls, the windows, the doors. A tear rolled down my cheek as I turned in and sat down in the taxi. My dad tried to talk to me but I made it evident that I didn't want to talk. We got of the taxi and my dad paid the driver. I rolled one of the suitcases in to the airport. A few hours we finally got on to the plane. My dad rested his head against the seat. He gave a sad smile and said "Your mom would have been so excited". I returned the smile but it was forced "I know" I replied. My mom was a kindergarten teacher and one morning she went to school. Around noon right when kids got back from their lunch break a man opened fire. My mom hid all the kids in the cupboards and cabinets and sat at her desk. The man came in and demanded to now where the kids where and she told them they were in the gym. He shot her and moved on. This happened three years ago when I was 11 now 3 years later it still hurt. I sighed and rested my head against the window of the plane. My eyelids began to droop and I slowly fell in to a light sleep.
Hey guy!! I swear I'm trying! And also I'm getting she will meet hayes eventually so hang tight xoxo - Harleen
