Chapter 17

Hayes and Harleen laughed as they ate their ice cream oblivious someone was watching them. Planning to harm them. They had no idea.

Hayes POV

I looked at Harleen. She was laughing. She just got her braces off so she looked even more beautiful when she smiled. School was starting and I couldn't wait to walk around with her in halls, smirking at the other guys that she was mine. Did she know about my image at school? I was a player. I NEVER dated a girl for over more than a month. I already broke that record for her. "HAYES!" I heard Harleen call. I snapped out of my thoughts. I grinned. "What's up baby girl?" I answered. She blushed. I called her that everyday and she still blushed. She looked at me and said "Let's go home now". "Sure" I said. We got up and started walking back home. I noticed a man staring at us. He looked me and smiled. I smiled back and we kept walking. We got in front of my driveway and I grabbed her around the waist and pulled her close.

 "Look I've been wanting to say this for a while and I didn't have the courage to say it before but now I will, I love you and I think you are the most beautiful, kind and amazing girl in this world".

 She looked at me in shock. "Hayes-" she started but I cut her off 

" and I also think that you didn't deserve the pain you went through, and I'm gonna make it right, I won't ever let you feel pain that type of pain again, I'll give you happiness at any cost." 

She looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Hayes I love you too and I'll always love you even if you break my heart" she said. I looked in her eyes, we were so close that our noses were touching, I gently pushed my lips to hers and kissed her. She kissed me back softly. She pulled away and grabbed my hand. We turned around to go inside and I saw Nash and Cam standing there. Shit. I opened my mouth to explain and Nash looked at me and said " save it we just saw the whole thing and we won't tell anyone but if you make out all the time on the couch when we're home alone I'll kill you". I smiled with relief. Harleen ran towards Nash and hugged him. "Thank you Nash" she said. She smiled at Cam then went inside my house. 

Nash looked at me his expression dead serious. "Did you mean everything you said?" he asked.

 I looked at him. "yeah I did" I answered.

 He looked at me almost angry " You better not fucking play her like you played all the other girls because she loves you and she trusts you, and if you do I'll beat your sorry ass" he said. Cameron walked up to me and said " He won't be the only one that beats your ass.". 

I looked at them both and said " I love her". 

Nash looked at me and gave me a fake smile, "Glad we got that cleared up" he said. I glared at him and walked inside. Since when had he become so protective over her? I saw Harleen playing with Sky and my bad mood melted away like snow in the summer. She saw me and smiled. Unfortunately Sky saw me too. 

"No! I'm playing with her! She's gonna stay with me!" she yelled.

 Frustration replaced the anger. "No she's gonna come hang out with me Sky!" I said.

"NO!! You got to play with her yesterday!" She was shouting now. I looked at Harleen for back-up but she was on the floor laughing. My mom walked in to the room and said " What is going on?". I explained the whole thing to her and she picked up Sky and took her to her room. I looked at Harleen still laughing and I thought how much I loved her. I wouldn't never hurt her. I wouldn't let anyone hurt her either. Anyone.
