Chapter 8: Reactions With Some Soda
I looked away disgusted by the fact that Jake was right in front me, having a reaction from soda and he was kissing Hannah's grandma's cheek. It was as if he sucking the life out of her. Before she touched the ground, I quick caught her. I glanced at Owen who was frowning at Jake's behavior. On the other hand, Emmett was on the floor laughing hard. Everything went silent when Jake abruptly stopped and seemed to be thinking for a few minutes.
Suddenly, everything was close to chaos. The butler ran out thinking that someone had crashed into something when actually, Jake might have shut the door really loudly. The butler accidentally crashed into the driver who was patiently watching everything that was going on around him. Jake ran into the house with his hands waving above his head, screaming on top of his lungs, "Hannah! I'm back! Hannah! I'm back!" And the door slammed close.
Owen, Emmett, and I took a glance at each other and we opened the huge door and ran into the house. I took a look around at my surroundings. To my left, was the beautifully decorated living room with chestnut colored leather couches. In front of me was a beautiful maple, spiral staircase. It could have been probably four to five floors, estimated by the huge spiral staircase and the installation of an elevator. I pointed to my right, where the kitchen was located.
"I'm going to be trapping him there. Emmett and you should trap him by going through the living room and meet up at the kitchen. Let's just hope he doesn't lose his mind completely." I exclaimed, as I headed over to the kitchen.
Owen and Emmett ran into the living room and disappeared into the beauty of the room. I entered the kitchen and gaped at the sight in front of me. It was a magnificent kitchen with a granite breakfast bar which had a couple of lights hanging from above. The stove, oven, microwave were all white like snow. The best part of the kitchen was the cool mosaic wall the covered all the sides except the floor which was just wood. Rude of me, I looked in a chestnut cabinet next to me to see if there were some tasty snacks that Hannah's family might have. Once again, I gawked when I saw a bunch of different shelves filled with many unique varieties of cake mixes, brownie mixes, and snacks from crackers to chocolate dipped strawberries.
"See something you like?" a voice said, startling me. I spun around to meet a very familiar looking girl.
"Um... Um... Um." I stuttered.
"My name's Hannah. What's your name?" she said.
I gasped. Memories flooded me as I remembered a girl with a ponytail tied up with pink ribbons and she was wearing a beautiful pink dress.
"My name's Hannah. What's your name?" she said, grinning happily.
I shyly hid behind my mother who was urging me to answer the pretty girl's question. I stepped out from behind my mother and shyly said, "My name is Alya."
Hannah's mother said, "That's a very nice name! Are you excited to start school?"
"Yes." I answered her question while twiddling with my fingers, nervously.
"Here, you can have a chocolate." Hannah said, pulling out a chocolate from her backpack. I looked at my mom for permission. She nodded and I took the chocolate with a quiet thanks.
"Let's go inside! I want to meet our teacher!" Hannah said excitedly, with her outstretched hands pointed towards the school, clearly indicating that she wanted to take me into the building with her. I looked at her shyly and placed my hand gently in hers. She grinned wider and skipped us both into the brown brick school building.
