(Lexington on the right, Taya on the left)

Omniscient...

"Tell me why we moved to motherfuckin' Patterson, New Jersey again?" Lexington asked Taya as they loaded the last of their stuff into their apartment.

"Because," Taya paused to drop a box on the floor. "I have people here who can help us." She smirked.

"You better hope there wasn't anything fragile in that damn box, Taya." Lexi scolded. "And what kind of people?"

Taya giggled. "My cousin. That's all, I promise." She held her hands out towards Lexi.

Lexi scoffed, bending down to pick up a couple of empty boxes that had been unpacked. "I'm taking these to the dumpster. Open the door for me, please."

Taya stood to her feet and held the door open for her.

Lexi made a right and began walking down the hallway. The boxes were stacked so high that she could barely see where she was going.

"Shit," She cursed to herself. "I can't see where I'm going."

Just as soon as she'd said that, she bumped into a tall figure, sending her down on her bottom.

"Oh shit, my bad." The young man quickly apologized, holding his hand out to help her up.

"It was my fault for being so stupid, thinking that stacking the boxes up so high would actually work for me. But thanks, uh..." She trailed off.

This hinted at the fact that she wanted to know who she was talking to at the moment.

"Fetty. Fetty Wap."

"Fetty Wap?" She raised her eyebrows.

Was his mother drunk when she gave him that name? She thought to herself.

He shrugged and chuckled before he helped her pick up the boxes. He held a couple and she had the rest.

"Where was you goin'?" He asked.

"To the dumpster. I need to um, get rid of these boxes. My best friend and I just moved in and we were unpacking." Lexington briefly explained.

"Well, you was goin' the wrong way." He said with some humor in his voice and directed her in the right way.

His voice is so deep and smooth.  It's sexy. Lexi thought to herself, staring at Fetty as they walked. He's actually not that bad looking. Not movie star handsome, but he's definitely something to me.

"So your mom named you Fetty?" She questioned to spark up a conversation.

She knew there was no way that was his government name.

"Um, no," He laughed as they approached the dumpster, putting the boxes in there. "It's a nickname my niggas and the block gave me."

"Well, can I have your actual name?" She giggled and stuffed her hands into the pockets of her sweats.

"Not to be rude or nuthin' but I'on know you like that."

Then there was silence between the two.

"That's understandable. Not every one can be trusted these days–" She immediately stopped herself. "Not saying that I can't but... I should probably shut up." She quietly laughed.

Fetty laughed aloud and nodded his head in agreement.

"...Guess that means we should hang out more." Lexi spoke, breaking the long break of no actually convo between the two. "My name's Lexington by the way."

"Lexington?" He questioned, stifling back a laugh.

She playfully hit his shoulder. "Hey, at least I gave you an actual name. And I don't like the name either. I go by Lexi."

He nodded. "You tryna chill later?" Fetty leaned up against the wall by Lexi's apartment door.

"Let me guess. You want to do Netflix and chill?" She sarcastically suggested, folding her arms across her chest.

If he says yes, he's a basic ass nigga trying to get some pussy. Lexi thought.

He scrunched his face up. "You think I pay damn near $8 each month to watch some movies and shit? Hell nah. We could do something different cause that's borin' and I ain't like them otha' niggas." He chuckled and flashed a smile.

Lexi nearly melted. "Ok..o-okay." She couldn't help but stutter as she rubbed the side of her arm.

She took his cell phone and put her number into it. "Use it, okay?" She smirked and entered her apartment, but turned around.

"Bye, Fetty." She waved.

He held up the deuces and turned to head to his apartment, where he was originally headed to.

Taya was in the kitchen putting dishes into the cabinets and silverware into the drawers. She turned around and noticed Lexi smiling to herself.

"What are you smilin' about, missy?" She asked, placing her hand on her hip.

"Nothiiiiin'." Lexi sang as she swayed back and forth.

"I've known you since we were like fucking five years old. I think I know when something's up with you."

"It's nothing. I promise." Lexi snickered. Then she plopped down on the couch. "You mind your business, Nosey Nancy."

All Taya could do was scoff. "Come and help me put some of this shit up!"

"Okay, Bossy Beatrice." Lexi replied, standing up from her spot on the couch.

"Where do you come up with this shit?" Taya mumbled to herself.
