Two days before Christmas

Lexi...

"Taya, shut up." I giggled and shook my head at her comment.

"Jane the damn virgin. I'll kill some doctors if they did some shit like that to me." She scoffed and scooped some more ice cream into her mouth.

All I could do was laugh. "Oh my God, Taya shut up. Knowing you, you probably would." I commented.

"Be quiet, because you're Jane the Virgin as of right now. Lexington the Virgin." She flashed a smile.

I swallowed some more ice cream and looked away from her with this look on my face.

"Why are you looking like tha-" She stopped to study my face. "Bitch and you weren't gonna tell me you been fuckin' Fetty?!" She screamed and pushed my shoulder.

I shrugged. "I didn't think you wanted to know. You didn't ask."

"Because I didn't know!" She screeched.

"Because you didn't ask." I shot back and giggled. "And it was like at the beginning of the month. That night when we had that argument."

She gave me that side-eye. "So that's why you always been always at his apartment."

"Nah, I just like being around my boyfriend," I ate the last of the ice cream in my carton. "And I like the sex." I quietly added. Then I got up from the bed to get rid of the empty carton and spoon.

Taya followed behind me to do the same.

"You know what I could really go for?" She spoke up while searching the cabinets.

I crossed my arms and watched her. "...What?"

"Some peanut butter with little pickle slices in it. Oh. My. Goodness." She groaned and continued to search the cabinets. "Do we have peanut butter? Because I'd really like to have some with pickle slices." She continued.

"Um, third cabinet over there- Hey, uh Tay are you...pregnant? You haven't been telling me about your sexual encounters lately," I giggled and went to get the pickles. "So I have no idea."

I put the jar of pickles on the counter top and she sat the peanut butter next to it. "Okay, let me get a bowl."

"You're washing that bowl. Because that's a disgusting concoction." I told her and grabbed a spoon for her.

"Mmm, this is going to be so good." She mixed up her disgusting craving and began to dig in. "It's better than I thought the shit would be." She hummed while she ate.

I gagged just watching her eat. "Ew, Tay." I whined and sat down. "You never answered my question."

She picked a pickle out of her bowl. "What question?"

She was clearly avoiding it.

"I asked if you were pregnant. I noticed that you've been having morning sickness and now these nasty ass cravings. I'm just asking." I placed my hands on the table clasped together.

She heavily sighed and dropped her spoon in the bowl.

"....Stay right here. I'll be right back." She told me and got up to go to her room. She came back with a picture.

She placed it on the table and I noticed that it was a picture from a sonogram.

"I'm three months along; Four in a week. And it's a boy."

"...Who's the father- if you don't mind me asking you."

"You think I'm a hoe?" She laughed.

"Uh, yeah." I replied in a 'duh' tone. "You always talking about gettin' dicked down." I giggled.

"You really wanna know who my baby daddy is?" She asked.

I nodded my head yes like I was stupid.

She took a really deep breath like she was about to drop something on me.

If she says Fetty, I'll be on the news in the morning for murder.

"...It's Monty."

I almost fell out of my chair. "When did you two start fucking with each other?!" I squeaked.

She tucked her lips in before replying, "Obviously about four months ago."

"How?"

"Girl, you and these damn questions. It was obviously a fuckin' mistake because we have nothing in common." She shivered. "What was I thinking?"

I chuckled a little and put the pickles and peanut butter back where they were supposed to be. "Lawd." I sighed. "I'm going to be an aunt!" I smirked.

Then it hit me. I heard a conversation like this earlier in the month at Monty's house about someone being pregnant. Was the female he was talking to Taya?

"Taya, so that was you talking to Monty in that room a couple of weeks ago? And y'all were arguing?" I brought up.

She stood up. "You were listening in on our conversation? How rude, Lexington." She pouted and crossed her arms across her chest.

"I didn't mean to. You guys were being so loud. But I promise, I walked away. It wasn't any of my business to listen in." I held my hands up in surrender.

She smirked while she stepped closer to me. She lifted up her huge sweatshirt and showed me her belly, which was getting kind of chunky. "This is why I've been wearing nothing but heavy ass sweaters and shit. I'm getting so fat."

I placed my hand on her stomach and rubbed it for a while. "Hi nephew, this is your Aunt Lexi. I can't wait to meet you!" I was in awe.

She swatted my hand away. "Come on man, don't start doing that bullshit. Monty does it all the time." She whined.

"It's good for you to talk to the baby in the womb. Did you know that? It-"

"Why do you know this?" She questioned and headed towards her room.

I shrugged and followed, right on her heels. "I picked it up while I was reading a magazine. A parenting magazine. Don't judge, I read what I can get." I chuckled and belly flopped onto her bed.

"I'm sleeping with you tonight baby mama." I mumbled with my face in a pillow.

She pushed me over. "Nah, don't be all over me now that I'm havin' your baby." She teased.

"Baby, don't leave me. I need to be with you and my child." I joked and stuck my tongue out.

"We some goofy ass girls." She smirked.

"I know." I yawned. "I love you, best friend. Seriously." I pulled the covers over me.

"Love you too, Lex."

Then we drifted off to sleep.
