Lexi...

I was peacefully asleep, when I was suddenly awoken by my child rapidly kicking my stomach.

I groaned and sat up, holding my stomach. "Baby Zoo..." I whined, calling out the nickname that Fetty had given the baby since we didn't know if it was a girl or boy yet.

The doctor had asked us if we wanted to know the sex yet at my last two appointments, but I wanted it to be a surprise. I said wanted because I can't take the anticipation anymore. And besides, I believe it would be more efficient for the two of us so that we could go ahead and buy the cutest clothes for the baby.

Fetty slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Are you okay?" He mumbled, not opening his eyes yet.

I yawned while I rubbed my belly. "I'm cool. It's just the baby waking me up with their kicking again." I moved the covers off of my body and threw my legs over the side of the bed.

Today, I had an appointment with my OB/Gyn and we were going to find out the sex of the baby.

After showering, doing my hair and makeup, I walked into the bedroom that Fetty and I shared to wake him up, since he would be attending the appointment as well.

"Will." I sighed as I came into the bedroom. I was short of breath from walking up all of those stairs.

He completely ignored me and rolled over in the bed.

"Will! Get up!" I yelled. Then, I opened up the curtains, letting sunshine spill into the bedroom.

Fetty groaned and slowly let his eyes flutter open. "Bruh, what the fuck?" He whined and rubbed his eyes.

"Remember, I have an appointment today at 12:00 pm. It's 10:47, so you should have plenty of time to get ready."

He pulled the covers over his body and put a pillow over his eyes to block the sun from shining in his face.

"I said get the fuck up!" I yelled and began to hit him with a pillow. I found this hilarious so I started to giggle. "Wake up before I go to get some water to pour on you." I warned.

He quickly jumped up, speed walking into the bathroom.

I slightly giggled and turned to walk downstairs to get me something to eat.

I'm starving.

.....

"Baby, slow down. You're moving way too fast for me and this baby." I whined, trying to catch my breath.

Will turned around and stopped. He held his hand out for me to grab, so of course, I grabbed it.

When we got to the floor where my appointment was going to be held, Fetty and I grabbed a seat.

I let out a deep breath and put my head on his shoulder. "Do you want to know if this is going to be a girl or boy?" I asked.

He slightly chuckled, shaking his head and quietly replied, "I keep on tellin' you we should've found out two months ago. But no, 'Let's make this pregnancy exciting! Let's keep it a surprise!' " He mocked.

I playfully rolled my eyes before I moved my head from off of his shoulder. "Whatever, stupid." I crossed my arms. "I brought that up because I actually want to confirm that I'm going to be an amazing mother to a beautiful daughter." I shyly smiled.

He scoffed. "A daughter?"

I nodded my head. "Of course. I can just feel it."

He shook his head no. "Naaah," He dragged out. "I think it's a boy."

"Alright, bet." I held my hand out.

"What you tryin' ta' bet?" He questioned with a cute little smirk painted across his face.

I shrugged. "If the baby turns out to be a girl, you'll..." I trailed off to think about what I wanted. "We'll get matching lambos." I smiled. We've talked about this plenty of times before. "And if it's a boy-"

"I get to name the baby." Will interrupted.

I instantly disagreed. "No good. Nope. I get to name the baby. If I'm carrying this baby for nine months and have to push their big ass head out of my vagina, I'm naming them. End of discussion." I lowly replied.

He gave me the side-eye. "Aight, you'll come to the trap with me."

I shook my head. "Will, I don't-"

"Just for a day. You don't even have to stay for a day."

"....I'm not going while I'm pregnant. I don't want to risk losing this baby." I rubbed my belly.

He nodded his head in agreement. "Okay, you ca' come after you have the baby. And imma be sure ta' protect your scary self."

"I'm not scared, it's just a matter of wanting to be safe and protecting my life." I scoffed with my hand placed on my chest.

"Lexington Fuller?" My name was called by a nurse. I grabbed my purse and Will's hand and we followed the nurse to an examination room.

"If you would go ahead and lay down on that table..." The nurse motioned towards the table. "I'll get us stated here."

I got up onto the table with Fetty's help and lifted my shirt for the technician to put that cold jelly onto my stomach.

After she put the jelly on my stomach, she cut the machine on. "Dr. Collins will be right with you." She smiled and exited the room.

After about ten minutes of waiting, the doctor came into the room with a warm smile. "Hello, Lexington," She greeted, closing the door behind her. "I'm assuming that this young man holding your hand is your boyfriend and the soon-to-be father?" She suggested.

I nodded. "Yep, that's the Will I've been telling you about." This was actually the first appointment that Will was actually able to make it to.

Dr. Collins began to look up at the screen while explaining everything to us. "As you see, right there is the baby. Everything sounds like it's going well, the baby's heart beat is strong and healthy." She smiled and began to print off a picture for us to keep.

She then handed it to me, along with a Kleenex like she does at every appointment. I'm an emotional mess.

I sniffled and wiped my face, along with blowing my nose. "Thanks for putting up with my crying every single time I come for an appointment." I joked and threw the tissue away.

She placed a hand on my back, giving me a warm hug from the side. "I completely understand, this is a happy time. Trust me girl, I did the same thing when I had my children." She replied.

She began to clean off my stomach. "Now," She threw away the paper towels. "I know I ask this every time you come in- and I always get the same answer," She turned back towards me. "But, do you want to know the sex of your baby?"

"Of course." Fetty quickly answered for me.

I slowly turned my head to face him and rolled my eyes. "Yes, Dr. Collins, we would love to know." I lightly laughed.

"Very well then. " She smirked. "...It's a boy."

Fetty began to cheer and of course, the tears started up for me again. "Aw, I lost the bet." I sniffled with a small chuckle.

"Congratulations, you two." Dr. Collins smiled before she exited the room.

"I told you." Fetty teased.

I muffed his head before I got down from the table. "Well, I had my fingers crossed, anyways." I lied, grabbing my purse and leaving the room.
