Lexi...
"Oh my god, thanks Bri." I said to this beautician Taya directed me to last week after she found out about the breakup.
It's officially been two weeks since Fetty and I broke up.
"It's so cute!" I squealed and ran my hands through my now straight, silky hair. "How much is it?" I began to dig in my purse for my wallet.
She held her hands out towards me to stop me. "No, no, no! It's on the house since you're a friend of Taya's." She smiled.
"You sure?" I asked.
She nodded her head and began to put up the supplies that she'd used while doing my hair .
"Okay," I got up from the chair. "I'll see you when I decide to go straight again." I lightly chuckled before exiting her salon.
This trip to the hair salon was truly needed.
.....
Fetty had come and got Aydin for the weekend, so he was dropping the baby off tomorrow, which was Sunday afternoon.
"Tuh-ay-uh." I exaggerated. "Get off of my phone with this bullshit." I laughed.
"It ain't bullshit!" She yelled. "You goin' out with next Friday. End of discussion."
I smacked my lips. "Yes, mother." I teased.
I leaned up against my headboard, switching my phone to my other shoulder while I filed my fingernails.
"Is that all you wanted?" I asked.
She sucked her teeth at my question. "So I guess you'on wanna talk to ya' best friend?"
"Not really." I lied. Breaking the silence I giggled, "I'm kidding!"
"Mhmm, let me find out you got a nigga over there."
"Who are you? If I wanted to have a," I paused and cleared my throat. "A gentleman over my house, I could. Because I'm grooown."
She busted out. "No this bitch didn't just say gentleman. Okay, okay do you boo." She caught her breath. "I gotta go pick my son up from Monty's house anyways. By the way, I didn't want to talk to your ass either."
I playfully rolled my eyes. "Okay, Taya. Bye."
"Byeee." She dragged out before we both hung up.
"That girl is really something else." I laughed to myself.
.....
The doorbell rang, so I quickly made my way down the stairs to answer the front door.
When I opened the front door, Fetty holding our son was revealed.
"My baby!" I squealed, grabbing Aydin and planting kisses on his cheeks. "Mommy missed you soooo much."
"Man, quit kissin' on him so much." Fetty groaned as he placed the baby bag on the floor.
I glared at him, kissing Aydin again.
"You can go now." I rudely said, motioning towards the door.
"Can you quit actin' like you hate a nigga?" He asked and sat on the couch.
"Can you get out?" I retorted with a question.
"You gone start bein' nice?"
I smacked my lips and began to laugh. "Well, it wasn't very nice when you cheated on me with my friend, now was it?" I raised an eyebrow.
He glared at me. "Aight, I guess I deserved that shit."
"You deserve worse, but I guess this'll have to do for now." I smirked, getting ready to take Aydin upstairs to his room. I noticed that he was falling asleep. "Let yourself out. I'm about to put Aydin in his crib."
I went up the stairs and put Aydin in his crib. Then, I came back downstairs to see Fetty sitting on the couch doing something on his phone.
Probably associating with that hoe Jasmine, but that's none of my business anymore.
"What are you still doin' here?" I chuckled, crossing my arms. "Go the fuck home, dude."
He turned towards me. "We gotta talk."
I busted out laughing. "Jasmine gave you an STI, oh my goodness." I covered my mouth to stifle my giggles but I ended up bursting into laughter. "I'm sorry." I cleared my throat.
He scrunched his face up at me. "No, she didn't- but if she did you was gone laugh?"
"....Sorry." I shrugged.
"You done got ruthless and shit." He shook his head. "I done said sorry about a hundred times, what the fuck I got to do to fix this shit?" He solemnly asked.
"Go back in time and stop yourself from even thinking about having sex with Jasmine. That's the only way." I heavily sighed. "Are we done?"
"You keep avoidin' this shit."
"No, I don't keep avoiding the situation. I just don't want to talk about it." I replied.
"That's avoidin' shit."
I sat back. "Fine, tell me what you can do to make it up to me. If it's a good idea, I'll think about takin' you back."
Isn't this going to be interesting.
"Let me take you out." He pleaded, leaning in closer to me.
I leaned in closer. "That's sounds good. Okay."
"Friday at 8?"
"Plans."
"Saturday."
"Time?"
"8."
I smirked to myself. "Mkay."
"Can we go back ta' usin' full sentences?" He chuckled.
"No." I teased and stood up from my spot on the couch. "Bye." I pointed at the door.
He quickly pulled me into a hug and replied, "I'll see you Saturday at 8, right?" He raised an eyebrow.
I nodded my head. "Yes."
"And we gone talk in full sentences, aight." He pointed his index finger at me and laughed. "Oh yeah, I see what you did wit' ya' hair. It's different." He grabbed the ends of it.
I smiled, blushing a little bit. "Thanks." I grabbed a piece of my hair and looked at it. "Thanks for noticing."
