Chapter 10 Butter Voice On The Phone!
Song: Inseparable by Mariah Carey
Jalena’s pov
I threw my bag down as I got up to my room. I wasn’t happy about moving here but once I saw my room all that changed. I walked over to what I like to call ‘my place of peace that can take me to wonderful and magical adventures spot’. Yeah, all of that It’s why I picked this room. In the corner of the room there are three big windows where my chaise sits perfectly. I went over to it and laid down on it. I took another deep breath closing my eyes bringing my fingers to my lips… My first kiss my very first kiss. Could it be a true love’s kiss like the movie Enchanted? Well, when I told him my name, he sure didn’t yell out, ‘Oh, Jalena! We’ll be married by morning! ’Ugh! What in the world is wrong with me… we’ll be married by morning I watch too much TV.
I looked over at my diary longingly it was sitting there next to where I threw my bag. I had written in it this morning about what I was hoping to expect on the first day of school. I also wrote about how nervous I was about going to a new school after being at the same one since kindergarten. Well it was nothing at all what I had expected it was, more way more. Man I so couldn’t wait to write in it, but I wanted to take a hot shower more, release all the unwanted tension I had, because of that hot kiss that I really want to experience more of. Debating on whether I should write or shower, I unconsciously ran the tips of my fingers against my lips. I kept thinking how hot that kiss was, the way his soft lips moved over mine, boy he was such a good kisser, gentle and aggressive at the same time. My cheeks started to feel hot ugh! Here I go again. I need to wash this boy from my mind. Decision made. I grabbed my bathrobe off my desk chair and headed to the bathroom.
……….
It was around six pm and our parents still hadn’t gotten home from the ‘dinner with the new boss date.’ “So lil sis, I’ll play mommy, So Darling how was your first days at school did you make any friends?” She said in a mocking voice of our mom. We were sitting in her room on the floor eating some Chinese takeout.
“Oh please, don’t be stupid Bree,” I said laughing. She can do mom’s voice pretty darn good. “It was full of surprises.” I said excited to tell her about my day. “I met two new friends Krista and Becca who I got along with instantly. You’d like them too. Krista is a real firecracker and Becca reminds me of your BFF. She is way too funny and can say like a million words a minute. And guess what I got invited to a party Friday.” She raised her hand up for a high five. “Plus yours truly, of course made the dance team, AND! Captain at that, thank you very much.” I told her doing a little wiggle dance.
“Check you out, first day and you already running things. Just like at our old school you ran things there especially after I told you to make it clear you’re not the one to be messed with.” She said reaching over and pushing me on my shoulder playfully. “I’m proud of you girl.”
We got along great for sisters, our mom wouldn’t put up with us fighting although we did get into it every now and then, but mom would make us make up right then and there, saying, “You’re family, you’re supposed to love one another not fight and be evil to each other. That just lets the devil into your heart.” She would tell us. So yeah, we would have our arguments over the normal sister fights you know ‘you stole my shirt, you read my diary, you ate the last Twinkie’… even came to blows a few times over that last one. We love us some Twinkies, that fluffy sponge cake with cream in the middle those are my second favorite to snickers bars, but we would always make up soon after and forget it ever happen.
