Mikaela did start warming up to her after that, although it was slower than melting an iceberg that he did so. He didn't smile at her, just started acknowledging her existence more and dignifying her chatter with a response.

On this fine day, they were strolling around while Mikaela was on patrol duties. Sora had nothing better to do, so why not bother the blonde grump?

She wrapped her pale delicate hands together behind her back and smiled slightly. "So, you think Ferid's in the closet?" She asked.

Mikaela turned his head to face her for a second. "For Crowley." He then kept walking. Sora chuckled a bit. It wasn't all that easy putting up with his sourpuss attitude all the time, but as impatient as the female was, she knew she had all the time in the world to do so.

After a while, she yawned noticeably, which gained her a quick glance from Mikaela.

"Mikaela?" She said tiredly, still in a singsong voice.

He dignified her with a turn of his head and eye contact with those pretty blue eyes that were bluer than the sky on a perfect day. She stopped for a second to admire them. Her hault caused him to stop also.

He looked at her with unamusement ticking the corners of his lips. She stood on her toes and gazed at them.

"Did anyone in the human world ever tell you...that they can see something in your eyes?" She asked. Mikaela, still puzzled. He shook his head. "No. Not really."

Her red orbs glittered with wonder. "It's like...I could see the sky in your eyes, you know that?"

"That's ridiculous. We're underground." He deadpanned.

She shook her head. "Not what I meant. Your eyes are so blue, like the sky. There's not another word I can describe it as."

She inched closer and closer, faces mere inches apart. Mikaela had noticed it, too. "Oi- what are you d-" she flicked him in between the eyes and turned away from him, eyes still directed towards him though.

"I'm tired. Carry me." She said flatly. Mikaela blinked before scoffing.

"And why would I do that?"

She shrugged with a small smile. Mikaela grumbled to himself as the small female hopped onto his back and rested her arms over his shoulders. gripping her legs, Mikaela got back up and walked towards her home to drop her off.

The two were, again, under a comfortable silence between them. Mikaela assumed because she was asleep. He could feel her light breath near his neck every few seconds.

They reached her home in a short while. Mikaela stopped and looked up. It was a bit nicer looking than his own, due to her 6th ranking. The outside was made of nice looking stones placed together correctly and a lot better than the houses for the children.

"Oi, we're here." He said softly. He was dignified with a response momentarily.

"Aye..." she yawned. Mikaela sighed. "I'm taking you in." Sora inhaled sharply. "No don't-" the wooden door opened. Mikaela stepped in to the more or less neat house, closing the door. Sora hopped off of his back, and as soon as her shoes hit carpet, a boy and a girl ran around the corner. "Miss Sora is back!" They cheered, eyes closed with glee. As soon as all four brown orbs rested on Mikaela, they ran and hid, presumably under the covers of her bed.

Mikaela blinked. "Who are they?" He asked no one in particular.

"Humans. The vampires killed the rest of their family, and they were unable to get food." She mumbled.

Taking a few steps towards the door, she opened it. "Tatsumi, Touka, it's alright. He won't hurt you."

The two children, guided by Sora's hands, did crawl out in front of the vampire. Mikaela knelt down on his knee.

Sora let them warily edge towards him, watching for a few seconds.

"I'm making food. If you put a finger on those kids, I'll have your head." She said casually, walking towards her kitchen.

She went to make what food she had, which was a good variety, being the 6th progenitor at least. She started some pasta and cut up vegetables and added spices. Once everything was prepared and cooking, she took a step outside to check up on the three.

Mikaela was watching Tatsumi draw on a piece of paper, and Touka was in his lap asking him question after question and nagging him. She saw a ghost of a smile on his pale lips as she turned with a grin back to cooking.

After they all ate, Mikaela said his (silent) goodbyes. Touka and Tatsumi ran up to him, hazel eyes glittering.

"P-please come back again, mister Mikaela!" They pleaded. The blonde just nodded before leaving. Sora blinked before going to clean up dinner, a smile plastered on her face.
