She stood there, alone, for a good ten seconds, watching as the blonde male walked away.

"Ah, did our poor sixth progenitor get her heart shattered by those cool oceans he calls eyes?" A voice called. She visibly twitched.

Ferid.

"Drop dead, Bathory." She hissed. The obnoxious vampire didn't desist as he kept walking towards her. Putting a hand on her shoulder, he turned her around to face him, red eyes glowing, and the ever present smile glued to his features.

"Mika-kun finally found his precious angel, no? Meaning," he paused, lifting her chin up and getting dangerously close to her face. She glared harshly at him.

"That he has no use for anyone else. And that includes you." He chided. She blinked her duller red eyes with a swat to his arm, moving him off of her.

"Didn't i tell you to drop dead?" She sauntered off, now in a pissier mood than before.

She hated the fool, but he was right. He has no other reason for socialization now that he knows his puppy princess is alive. Not that he was socially active anyway.

She sighed, and turned a few corners of the maze- like city. The lights were dim, as it was past curfew, and no one really needed to be out.

Anyone who happened to be was a dead man.

She picked up the faint sound of children squealing. As passive as she was towards their kind, the sound didn't bother her as much as it should.

She paced towards the sound, turning a corner and seeing two guards literally sucking the life out of two children.

Two children with hazel brown hair and unmistakable faces.

Tatsumi and Touka. Completely angered beyond the point of no return, she sprinted up and kicked the vampire on Touka away harshly, which got the other's attention.

"Sixth progenitor.." he bowed his head slightly. She scoffed and attempted to act neutral.

"It just turned curfew, did it not? So why are you killing these children, then, instead of aiding them?" She controlled her anger nicely as she spoke, with an even tone.

The guard said nothing. Neither did the one she kicked away.

Taking a glance at the children on the ground, her heart panged. They were beyond saving. She'd already lost them. There was no use in losing her reputation as well now.

"Take them away to where the rest of the dead are." She grumbled, swiftly turning and heading back to her home, boots clicking as she walked each step.

Her heart felt heavy, yet empty. Cold, yet on fire.

Everything she had. Everything she worked to keep.

Everyone she cared for genuinely.

Was gone, or wanted nothing to do with her.
