The walk was slow, silent, and awkward. At least for Sora. She sighed quietly to herself, as she could be studying rather than being out doing nothing with Mikaela. Although it did keep her mind off of things, even just a little.
"So, why did you ask to join me?" She pondered.
He just shrugged. "I felt it'd be nice. Since we were at each other's throats it seemed." He mumbled. They reached an empty part of Sanguinem, a large stonw balcony that overlooked the city. She leaned against the edge, looking out.
"Wow." She beamed. "The city doesn't look as barren and horrible from up here." She admired it, truly.
Mikaela stood right beside her. The stone guard separating them from the ground was roughly three feet thick. Sora hopped on, and just stared out quietly. She hadnt even noticed Mikaela do the same.
"Do you ever, mmm... miss your old family? The humans?" She asked after a long, deaf silence.
Mikaela just sat. "Yes. But i know one is alive, at least. Its still nice to be around some vampires here who don't hate me." He explained.
She turned. No vampire in the city really liked him..who was he even talking about?
"what vampires don't hate you?" She asked flatly.
He turned his blue orbs and stared into her crimson ones. "You. Maybe Krul." He said. Sora gave him an eye roll.
"Please. The snot-nosed bratty queen likes nothing but the suffering of others. And who said i even liked you?"
Mikaela shrugged. "No one did. But i get that you don't hate my guts." He mumbled, slowly moving his hand closer to her own, which was resting at her side.
She smiled out at the city. "You're right, i suppose. I dont want you dead. But I do hate you." She mumbled. Mikaela intertwined his fingers with hers silently and quietly, so much that she didn't even notice right away.
She looked up at him with confusion in her eyes. "Hyakuya?" She said quietly, almost below a whisper. He blinked and leaned in slowly, connecting their lips together for the first time.
It sent sparks up Sora with every second they were still in contact. It didnt last long before they pulled apart.
"I hate you even more now." She mumbled, pale skin flushed pink in the cheeks. She leaned against his shoulder and drifted off, Mikaela's hands ever so gently playing with her brown locks.
"I hate you too." He said quietly, gazing upon the city.
