I pulled back into my driveway around 11, knowing that my mother and brother were asleep by now. Stepping out of my car, I felt myself step on something hard, and a hear a shattering noise, "what the..?" I said aloud, looking down to find shards of glass under my shoes. "Sorry, I had a little party of one." I heard a familiar voice slur. I turned to see Joe, doubled over on the ground, an empty bottle of vodka in his hand. "Joe?! What are you doing?!" I screeched, running towards him. His left eye was bruised and his mouth was slightly cut. "I don't care anymore Piper, I'm fucking done." He attempted to get up, but fell over face first on my lawn. "Joe, don't move." I ordered, running to his side. "No, get away from me, you don't fucking care." I could smell the alcohol on his breathe, as I knelt down besides him. "Of course I care, Joe." I assured him, wrapping my arm around him.

In one swift move, I felt him grab my shoulders, flipping me over and pinning me to my lawn, "ow! Joe what the hell?! You're hurting me." I cried out, trying to free myself from his grasp. I felt his fingers tighten around my shoulders as his face became red, "just like you hurt me, bitch?!" He screamed at me. What was he talking about?! I never hurt him unless-- "I fucking saw you with her." He said to me, spitting the words at me as if they were poison. "But, how--" I tried to ask but he cut me off, his mouth coming down hard on mine. I felt his teeth bite my lower lip as I cried out in pain. His hands ripped apart my shirt and he reached for my pants, "get off me Joe!" I screeched. Freeing my leg from under his body, I kneed him hard in the balls, making him wince with pain. "You fucking bitch!" He shrieked at me. I felt my breathe hard in my chest, as I scrambled off the grass, prepared to strike again. "You're fucking crazy, I hope you know that you're not going to get away with this." I yelled, running towards my house. "Oh, but the pictures on my phone beg to differ." I heard him say. Stopping dead in my tracks, I felt my face turn cold. I turned to face him, as he waved his phone in the air, showing a picture of Libby and I laying in the grass."That's right Piper, I have proof. Seeing is believing, am I right?" I heard him snicker with a smirk on his face. I didn't know what to say. I couldn't have people find out about me. My mother wouldn't accept it. I'd lose all my friends. He wiggled his eyebrows at me and tossed his phone in his pocket, so don't bother trying to tell anyone about this, because if you do, the entire school sees these pictures. Plus, who would they believe Piper? Me or you?" I couldn't speak, or breathe for that matter. He stumbled into his car as he started the engine. I saw him give me that smirk through his dashboard window as he drove away.

When I finally caught my breathe I felt my eyes fill with tears until I was bawling. Picking up the shreds of my shirt, I trudged into my house, and threw myself on bed. This couldn't be happening. I remembered how amazing my night has been with Libby, until it went all horribly wrong. Joe had hurt me, threatened me, and used me. And there was nothing I could do.
