"Wait, mum, she's waking up!" I heard my brother yell. I squinted my eyes open, attempting to shield them from the bright lights with my hands. Where was I? I looked to my left and saw a heart monitor next to a bag filled with a color liquid, and an IV in my arm. What happened?

"Oh my god hunny, I'm so glad you're okay." My mother whispered, hugging me close enough that I could smell the faint scent of Chanel Number 5 on her neck. "Mum, what happened?" I asked. The last thing I remembered I was at that party with Joe.. As soon as I asked, my mum's face turned stern, "I should ask you the same thing Piper Rose!" She barked, using my middle name, "I get a call from the police at 3am! How do you think I felt?!" I shook my head, confused, "what are you talking about?!" I asked, clearly confused. "Piper, last night you were triple the legal limit of alcohol intoxication for someone who is of drinking age." She said, looking concerned, "but I can't believe you would mix drugs and alcohol. I thought I taught you better." What was she talking about?! I had never done drugs in my life, "what?! Drugs?! Mum I never took anything!" She glowered at me, "don't lie to me Piper. The doctors found traces of XTC in your blood. Do you know how dangerous that is?!" No. They couldn't have. All I did was drink, and besides, I had two at most plus the one that Jake got me. Wait.. Joe. "Mum! Did the police mention anything about Joe Sugg?!" I asked frantically. She shook her head, "I called the Suggs to find out where you were. They said they had no clue. Joe was already in bed when I got the police call." That can't be true! I remember him being there, handing me the drink. I know it was him. "But these came for you a little bit ago" my mum said handing me a vase full of Lillie's. So he drugs me and leaves me flowers? I grabbed the tag and flipped it over to see the bullshit apology he was probably leaving me, "I forgive you. But I don't trust you." And that was it. What a nerve that boy had. Saying he forgives me, when he's the one who ditched me and drugged me? No, that's not how this works. I threw the vase to the foot of the hospital bed and watched it shatter, "what the hell was that?!" My mother screamed. I shrugged and pulled the covers over my head, and turning my back to her. I heard her mumbled something about me being emotionally unstable as she walked out to get a janitor I assumed.

I stayed there for a while, trying to process everything, until I felt the tears coming to my eyes; once they started, I couldn't stop them. I laid there bawling for at least an hour. I'd lost practically everything. I lost my "friends" when the cops came, I lost my relationship with Joe, and worst of all I lost the person I love: Libby. I rubbed my eyes as I saw my hands turn black from runny mascara and pulled the covers off of me. "About time." I heard a familiar voice say. Looking over, I saw her, sitting there just watching me, "I know what really happened last night Piper."
