"I was young when I first met Amber, maybe twelve. We grew up in the same apartment building, here in New York." Libby began, gesturing with her hands. "We always used to play with the guys, because we refused to use Barbies or Polly pockets, I guess we thought we were too cool for that." She said, staring at the ceiling. "That was until the boys became more interested in hanging out with girly-girls than us. That's when it just became Amber and I." I watched Libby's eyes stare off in the distance, like she was reliving the entire situation. "One night, we were having our usual slumber parties every Friday night, and we just finished watching SleepOver. When Amber suggested we play Truth or Dare like they did in the movie." Libby continued, "so obviously, I always wanted to do whatever Amber wanted, so I agreed." "When she asked me, 'Truth or Dare?', or course I said truth; I knew her dares would be too much to handle. 'When was your first kiss?' I remember her asking. And I was so scared to answer because I never had my first kiss yet." I watched Libby's lips as a smile crept onto her face, "so I remember being so embarrassed having to admit I was a kissing-virgin. But instead of making fun of me, Amber leaned over and kissed me without warning. I was so shocked I didn't know how to react. But I kissed her back. And kept kissing her." Libby's face flushed red as gave me a slight smile, "it's funny, because I always had a crush on her, but I knew that it wasn't 'normal' to like girls." She said, making air quotes with her fingers. I reached out and grabbed her hand, "and then what?" I asked, curiously. She looked at me with a slight smile, "and then we fell for each other. Everyday after that we were with each other. We couldn't spend a day apart. Obviously our parents didn't know that we were staying up late at night at our sleepovers to make-out." Libby chuckled and ran her hand through her hair, "we were each others best friend." I raise my eye brows, "so what happened?" Libby groaned and shook her head in annoyance, "Amber, and I never went farther than kissing. I wasn't ready for anything more. So when we were fifteen, she hung out with this guy Luke.. And had sex with him." As she finished her sentence I saw the tears coming to her eyes, "can you believe that?! Cheating on me with a guy?! I told her so much. I told her I loved her. And she said she did too." I wrapped my arms around her shoulders, and nuzzled my head in her shoulder. "You don't deserve that, love." I whispered against her neck. She stroked my hair, "I'm sorry. I just--" "Shhhh" I soothed her, rubbing her shoulder, "you don't have to explain yourself." She shook her head and frowned, "that's why seeing her is so, bitter-sweet. She'll always have a place in my heart Piper, but at the same time I'll never forgive her." I took Libby's face in my hands and looked her in the eyes, "I'd never do that to you, Libby." She gave me a faint smile and leaned forward, pressing her lips against mine, "I know Piper, that's why I love you." I returned her smile, and wrapped my arms around her, soaking in the happiness I was feeling from her finally opening up to me. Everything was going perfect, everything. Or, at least I thought it was...
