I walked past the bouncer of Liquid, shooting him my crisp white smile as I walked by. Luckily, he had remembered me with Libby from before, and graciously waved my fee to get it. Being broke was definitely not an easy task. I hurried down the stairs, the clanking sound of the metal rumbling from under my stilettos, until I finally reached the bottom. Opening the heavy club door, a rush of cigarette smoke, pulsing club music, and laughter greeted me; now this is what I needed. I rushed over to the bar, prepared to spend the remaining 7 dollars I had on an over-priced cocktail, until a waitress dressed in dark lingerie came up to me, "this is from one of the girls at the bar." She said, handing me a bright blue drink. It was a blue raspberry martini, supposedly what Libby always drank. I smiled at the waitress and downed the cool blue liquid in one quick gulp. The warmth of the vodka tingling my throat as I swallowed it, and something else too; it didn't taste like I remembered it. I slid into one of the sleek, red leather stools surrounding the bar, and ran my fingers through my hair. I was starting to feel a little dizzy, but I wasn't entirely sure why, it was only one drink, I couldn't be drunk already. "Wow, didn't think I'd find you here." I heard a voice slur. Looking over My shoulder, I saw her deep red curls piled on top of her head in a messy bun, strands falling down and lining her face. Her slim, pale body was covered with an aqua one-shoulder, dress. I sighed and shook my head, "Amber, what are you even doing here? Haven't you done enough to me already?" She sat down on the stool next to me and waved the bar tender over, "a Manhattan for me, and whatever she wants." She said with a smile, gesturing to me. I shook my head and looked over at her with a glare, "Amber, you should know I don't want anything from you." She sighed and rolled her eyes, "listen Piper," she said, passing the bar tender a crisp twenty, "I came to apologize." I snickered and smirked, "oh really?" "I'm not kidding Piper." She said, her face becoming more serious, "I wanted to explain my side of the story." I rolled my eyes and flicked my hand in her direction, dismissing her offer, "sounds fun Amber, but I rather stick pins in my eyes." She groaned and propped her chin up on her hands, "Piper, the only reason why I came over is because Libby asked me to." I froze in my chair, mid-stirring my drink, "I knew you guys were together and I respected that. But she told me she never really was over me." She continued, looking at me with pity. I shook my head, starting to feel woozy somehow, only after having one drink, "she wouldn't. Libby wouldn't do that to me." She shrugged and took sip of the drink in front of her, "isn't it strange how she never told me to leave?" I sat there for a minute, stunned at what she was telling me. Libby  wouldn't do that to me.. Right? My head was starting to feel dizzier, as I reached out for the bar stool in front of me. "Woah! Easy tiger.." Amber said, reaching out to steady me. I let out a small laugh, "who would have thought you'd be saving me tonight?" My words felt heavy against my tongue, like I couldn't feel it against my lips. Amber's eyes locked on mine, "I was hoping I would," she cooed, "you're a beautiful girl Piper." Her finger tips brushed against my arm, sending a shiver down my spine. "Amber, I can't--" but she pressed her French-tipped finger against my lips, "shhh, Piper. I just wanted to tell you that you're beautiful." My face flushed red as I glanced down at my shoes, "thank you." I mumbled. I began to feel extremely dizzy, and again reached out for stability as my vision started to blur. I felt a pair of hands, Amber's hands, cup my face and press her hot lips against mine. Her kiss caught me off guard as I stumbled back, her mouth still locking on mine. When she pulled back, I looked at her, stunned."Sorry, Piper, you're just so beautiful." That's when my vision gave out, everything went black. I felt my knees buckle under me, as I helplessly fell to the ground. The sound of ambulance sirens met my ears, as I lost all consciousness.
