Here is the new chapter guys... enjoy...:-)

Next morning Luke came back home through the front door. He knows now he has to use the doors for coming and going, in or out of the house instead of windows. He is not living here alone anymore. Ivy is also there now and it can’t reveal his true identity to her. He doesn’t want to scare her away from her own house.

She was nowhere to be seen, neither in the main room nor in the kitchen. That’s good he thought.  But his heartbeats were telling the different story.

He climbed up the stairs and paused in front of her room. He couldn’t hear anything except her steady heartbeat and her shallow breathing. She was asleep, he relaxed.

He was feeling uneasy since he didn’t see her on the bridge while coming back. He waited hiding by the bridge for a while just to get a glimpse of her. But she didn’t come there and he started feeling worried for her.

He just wanted to make sure she was fine, he said to himself and slowly pushed her door. It wasn’t locked, and opened soundlessly. There she was, on her bed, still sound asleep.

He went close to her and saw dry tear marks were still visible on her face, a proof that she had cried herself to sleep. He felt an unknown ache in his chest. Like her misery has sliced a chunk of his heart.

Suddenly her lips tugged upward in a lovely smile and she took his name ever so lovingly “Luke…” his heartbeat quickened by the sound of it. In that instance he realized that he is falling in love with her. Damn… how could he fall in love with a dead heart? His heart died the day he caught his fiancée cheating on him.

Suddenly her eyes were open and her hands flue to her mouth. He immediately moved back from her. He was sure she didn’t see him but he saw the stark horror in her eyes.

She sat there for a while without moving, in the same position. Then she sensed him and turned towards him. He was now standing by the door. Alert now, she asked him “what are you doing in my room?”

“You screamed” he lied

“Did I?”

“Yes you did” he said stubbornly

“Maybe I did” she said sounding tired

“Are you ok?”

“Yes… I am fine… it was just a nightmare” she said and flopped down back on the pillows

“Must be a real scary… you look awful”

“Yeah it was… really scary” she said covering her face with the blanket

“Are you sure you ok? Do you want to talk about it?” he asked smiling.

“Yes… no”

“Sorry…? What did you say?”

“I said yes I am fine and no I don’t want to talk about it. at least not to you”

“Should I call Mrs. Koufax then…?”

“No…!!!! I am just tired and need some rest. I’ll be fine. Now can you please leave me alone…?” she screamed through the pillows

“Ok ok I am going. But if you need anything call me. You know where to find me” he said before closing the door

“Yes I know… sleeping naked on that extra huge bed… in my attic turned bedroom…” he heard her muttering slowly to herself, he couldn’t stop smiling.

She got up after some time, went down to the kitchen and made coffee. She brought the mug full of coffee and one of her favourite Chocó chip muffin to her bed room.
