Chapter - 22 (Everything Black)

Sally sat on a high chair sullenly watching the women who was muttering and pacing the room angrily. She wore a black hooded long cape that was flowing at end with the same flowy long sleeves.

She stopped and asked Sally "You are sure he is still alive?"

"Yes Audreya..." Sally replied tiredly for the tenth time.

"How many time do I have to tell you not to take my name?" she screamed loudly jolting Sally to sit straight and apologies immediately "I... I am sorry Mistress"

"I guess I made a mistake saving you from that old wicked wizard husband of yours... I should have left you there to suffer what you deserved for defying my orders and marrying him instead of Luke"

"Luke was just a foolish prince. He wasn't going to become a king ever. That wizard was much richer than him"

"I don't want the riches!" Audreya shouted angrily making Sally squirm in the chair nervously.

"I thought..." Sally started to say but stopped immediately as Audreya turned angrily towards her.

She marched till where Sally sat and kept both her hands on the arms of her chair, caging Sally in. Sally backed in her chair and swallowed loudly, terrified with Audreya's anger.

"You weren't suppose to think. I have ordered you to marry Luke and you were expected to do just that" she said mincingly.

"I... I am sorry..." Sally stammered.

Audreya moved away and resumed pacing the room again saying "Your sorry doesn't change anything. Because of your stupid mistake I had to wait another 45 years to fulfil my one and only dream but you failed yet again"

"I... I tried... he wouldn't take me back because now he is in love with that human girl" Sally said immediately.

"Well... then now you are useless for me. Why should I keep you alive? I must send you to where I have sent your beloved wizard" Audreya said lifting her right hand and pointing a finger in Sally's direction with a evil smile on her red lips that were visible from her black hood.

"Noooo..." Sally cried loudly before running and falling on Audreya's feet pleading "Please mistress... I... I am sorry for everything I done wrong... I... I promise I will make myself useful... I...I'll earn my keep... please...please don't kill me"

"Then make yourself useful. Go and get blood from that boy upstairs, I need to feed" Audreya said walking away from her and sitting on a chair.

"Yes mistress" Sally said getting up from the floor and wiping her tears.

She walked towards the stairs and saw the old women sitting on the floor by the stairs looking at her pleadingly with tears in her eyes; she mouthed silently "please" to her.

Sally felt sad for her but she couldn't do anything, she has to fulfil her mistress's orders and take blood from old lady's son.

Sally silently mouthed "sorry" to her before climbing the stairs slowly. Today she felt no difference between this old lady and herself, they were both Audreya's prisoners. She everyday cursed the day when she met Audreya and agreed to her scheme of marrying the prince of Spectra.

She was a made vampire and entry in Specra was difficult for her let alone living there and marrying the prince. It was very difficult to survive in human world in 1950. Human mobs were hunting and killing vampires everywhere.

She thought it would be best to hide in vampire land for some time and get the taste of royal life and when Audreya gets what she wants she would give her lots of money so she could go and live anywhere in the world.
