Chapter - 25 (Grief they share)

Hamish stopped the bike in front of the house and before he could say anything Ivy hopped down and went straight inside the house.

She hasn't spoken to him since they left from airport. Although Hamish tried speaking to her twice on the way but she just kept quite.

Hamish resisted himself from using his vampires speed to park the bike and follow her but as soon as he was inside the house he zapped up and caught up will Ivy as she was on the last step to her room.

Ivy was taken aback by his sudden appearance at front of her room and caught the railing to balance herself while taking a step back.

"What happened Iv?" He asked.

"Nothing... Please move away" She tried to walk passed him but he blocked the way by keeping his hand on the railing too, asking "Why are you not talking to me? Did I do something wrong?"

"No... I am just tiered"

"You are lying... You were alright when we went to the airport but your mood changed after meeting Sri"

"Its not like that"

"It is.... Is everything okay? Did Sri said something to you? What is it? Please tell me Iv"

"Jeez... Hams, Its not Sri... Its both of you. The way you treated that poor girl... Sri offered his secretary to you like she was a piece of cake and you??? You used her like she was just a packed juice... I felt sick..." she screamed losing her temper now.

"Its not like what it seems Iv. I..." Hamish tried to say something but she screamed again "Oh...? Than how is it like? Would you like to enlighten me please...?"

"Iv I... I..."

"You what Hams? Did you feel sad for her? Did you appoloies to her after drinking her blood like... Like a..." Ivy stopped adurbtly and turned away.

Hamish caught her her hand and turned her to face him as he asked "Say it Iv...! Like what?"

"Like a monster" She said while trying to free her hand but Hamish didn't let her go instead he came close to her face and said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes "Well.... There is a news for you Iv. I am a monster, a vampire... And so is your beloved Spectrerien prince Luke"

"No... Luke is not like you. He doesn't bite people for his blood lust."

"Huh... You think?"

"I know and i know what he did few years ago but he has changed, he regrets it now. He has compassion for humans. But you... You only see humans as a pry"

"Yes i do... I am a vampire danm it, i live on human blood. All the humans are my pry"

"You have forgotten Hams, I am a human too..." Ivy said and Hamish let go of her hand immediately. Before Ivy could say anything else he was gone.

Ivy walked in her room and closed the door before sitting down on her bed.

She hated fighting with Hamish but still she did, unable to understand why. She knows he is a vampire. She knew they drink human blood and she even served blood to Luke. Then why it bothered her so much today? Just because she felt disgusting imaging Hamish drink blood from Sri's very willing donor cum secretary?

And none of it was not Hamish's fault... Ivy loathed herself for stupidly taking up a fight with

Hamish, all he did is just help her. He even called Sri, all the way from India. And what she did in return? Called him a monster.
