Chapter - 14 (Finding true love)

Luke stood right in front of the main door, arms crossed on his chest, eyes dark with anger.

Ivy stopped dead on her tracks. She has never seen him this furious.

"So you are running away from me?" Luke growled.

"N..no..." Ivy stammered, feeling really afraid of him.

"You are lying!!!" Luke shouted angrily and Ivy lost her grip on the bags, dropping everything on the floor.

Ivy turned and tried to run back up stairs but Luke moved with feline grace and vampire speed and stood front of Ivy.

She bumped on his chest and fell back with a loud thud. The impact caused a spasm of sharp pain running through her back.

Luke bent to help her but she shrank back, screaming "No... Luke please... Please don't... Don't hurt me please..."

Luke froze right there for a moment, shocked by seeing her so scarred of him, cowering away, pleading and crying. A pain he never felt before pierced through his heart. He moved away from her and threw the dining table across the room trying to directing his anger elsewhere. It crashed on the wall and fell on the ground in pieces.

Ivy heard Luke scream in frustration followed by a loud crashing noise. She looked up and found the dining table lay on the other end of the room, the dishes she prepared so lovingly were now scattered on the ground among the broken pieces of her mother's favourite china ware with flowers and now unlit candles... More tears rushed out, Luke is a monster, he is capable of destroying everything and proof was right in front of her.

She saw Luke was standing by the wall window, facing away from her. She just wanted to go away from here, away from him. Making up her mind, she tried to slowly inch towards the door.

Luke stood looking out of the window, frustrated, angry at himself for scaring Ivy, angry at her for even thinking that he can hurt her and most of all on his twisted luck.

He wanted to tell Ivy about himself, revel it carefully, making her understand, showing her that he would never hurt her, not like this and now that time has passed.

Suddenly he heard some noise and knew Ivy was trying to run away from him again. His anger spiked as he turned, Ivy saw him and tried to run faster but he reached to her in a second. Ivy bumped into his chest again and fell on the ground, Luke bent to catch her but she got hold of a fork from the scattered mess and shoved it at his face with full force, scraping the side of his face.

Luke inhaled sharply making a hissing sound, she saw blood trickle out of the wound.

Luke caught her hand and snatched the fork from her. She tried to fight but she was no match for his strength. He pulled her to him and threw her on his shoulder like a rag doll and ran with vampire speed up the stairs, in his room, out of the window and on the roof.

She screamed all the way "No... Luke please don’t... I am sorry...  I won't do it again please don't hurt me Luke please..."

Once on the roof, Luke finally kept her down, immediately she tried to back away but missed her footing. Horrifyingly she realized he had made her stand on the edge of the roof. She caught his collars for balance and pleaded "Don't leave me Luke please... I... I will fall down... Please... Luke Please... I am so sorry... I..."

Luke shook her to get her attention and shouted "Shut up Ivy and look at me"

She closed her mouth immediately and looked up to his face and saw him starting down at her.
