Annie's POV
I woke up today, the air around me was different, but what could I expect? I was no longer in my home country. I looked in the mirror, my hair was messy, and I could barely see, blonde locks covered my face.
I walked to the bathroom, took off my clothes and then I took a shower. I walked back into my room, and picked up my clothes for today, just my white hoodie, a black jean, and white and blue tennis shoes, with my hair tied up behind my head, nothing that stood out.
-Hey sis! Ready for your first day?- Bertolt, my second oldest brother asked, he's always like this in the morning, very positive and all. While they were going to college, I'm going to high school. I grabbed my red backpack, and opened the door.
-Yeah, lets go- I replied, walking out of my bedroom and shutting the door behind me. I think I killed his positive mood a bit, I walked downstairs, meeting with the oldest of my brothers, Reiner. After a quick breakfast, we all got into the car, Reiner driving, Bertolt in the co-driver seat, and I was on the back. I put on my headphones, and about thirty minutes later, we arrived.
-Good luck Annie!- Both of them wished me as I got out of the car, from the corner of my eye I saw their car drive away into the distance, I sighed and still kept my headphones on. To survive this hell, either you become a ghost, or a stupidly popular person. I think you already know my choice, lets just be an average girl, or as average as I can be.
-Oof!- I bumped into someone, I couldn't see who it was at first, then I backed away, it was a guy of my age, he had dark brown hair, teal-green eyes, and slightly tanned skin.
-Sorry, should have seen where I was walking- He started to apologize, a smile across his face as he did so. He extended his hand towards me, waiting for me to shake it.
-I'm Eren Jaeger, and you are?
-Annie Leonhardt- I replied, shaking hands with him. He opened his eyes widely for a sec, his mouth forming in an ''O'' shape.
-You're the exchange girl, right?- He asked me, letting go of my hand. I nodded, it appears rumor spreads like the plague here.
-Then I guess I should give you the welcome- He was acting very kind to me... Is this some sort of shitty prank for newbies? It damn well not be so, or this guy is gonna get it.
Well, it turned out he wasn't trying to prank me, at least it didn't look like it. He guided me towards my first class, who also turned out to be his first class, cliche much?
-Good morning students!- We heard from behind us, Eren winced at the loud voice, but I didn't move a single muscle, he rushed to his seat, sitting down very quietly. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked back to find the teacher, Mr. Pixis, as he wrote on the whiteboard with his black marker.
-As you know, we have an exchange student with us, why don't you present yourself?- He asked me, I removed his hand from my shoulder, sending a glare towards him.
-My name's Annie Leonhardt, and I'm from Russia- I said, keeping an expressionless face, I don't really have an accent while speaking in English, so I wouldn't surprised no one knew until I mentioned it. There was a silent that lasted about two seconds, before the teacher spoke again.
-Very well, you can sit down next to Jaeger, Miss Leonhardt- I nodded, I saw Eren wave at me, I sighed and sat down next to him as I was told, I saw him smile at me, I wanted to do the same, but then I received a death glare from a black haired girl, who wore a red scarf around her neck.
After a lot of classes, introductions and boring stuff like that, the day was halfway over, it was lunch time already, I'm not a social butterfly, and like hell I'll eat in the dining hall like everyone else, I brought my own food, so I decided to eat in the backyard of school. A nice, peaceful place to eat.
-Hey Annie!- Well, it lasted longer than expected. I looked up just to find Eren smiling down at me, he sat in front of me, holding a container with food with his hands.
-I thought you'll be here, so I wanted to accompany you- He spoke, I nodded, for some reason I didn't mind his company, it was actually nice... just a bit. We both opened to see what food we had, I noticed something in his plate, cheese hamburg? That's my favorite food... Alright this is getting a bit scary.
-Ah! Oh man...- I saw his hamburg roll on the ground, then I noticed the sad pout/puppy face mix he made. I couldn't help but feel bad for him, I know how he's feeling, so I picked with the fork one of the two cheese hamburg I had.
-Hey- I spoke, catching his attention as he turned his frowning gaze towards me, his face soon lit up in both surprise and happiness as he saw what I held in my hands. He pointed at himself, and gulped, I simply nodded and fed him the hamburg, next thing I knew, he was hugging me.
-Thank you! I thought you were very scary at first but you're very WOW!- I didn't let him finish his sentence, I instinctively flipped him over, I felt heat spread all over my cheeks, I was blushing and my heart was beating rapidly. Despite the fact that I knocked him off his feet, he was still smiling brightly at me, I couldn't help but smile too, then I helped him get up.
Maybe this school year, could actually be good?...
