Poor, confused hearts

Eren's POV

The weekend went on pretty fast, I spent most of it at Annie's house, practicing for the math test and sparring at the same time, but it all came down to this moment, the math class is the last one of Monday, I was holding in my hands the corrected test. Neither Annie nor myself dared to see our test, I swear I don't have butterflies, I have an enraged dragon inside my guts.

-Wh-Who reads it first? Not me!- I shouted nervously, I handed her the paper sheet and crossed my arms, the test was difficult and that's what scares me the most. The tension was killing me, I felt my heart pound in my chest and I was holding my breath, the moment she read our grade, her eyes widened.

-We aced it... Eren, we aced it!- She said, putting the paper sheet in front of my face, we passed the test with almost the maximum grade! Without thinking twice, I wrapped my arms around Annie's hips and spun her in midair, letting out a laugh of relief.

-Sorry! I got a bit carried away- I spoke jokingly, a faint-hearted chuckle escaping my lips as I lowered her down. We made the test on Monday, and we had to wait till today, Friday again, to see our tests.

-Good thing we're on the school's backyard, because if we were in the entrance, I would have flipped you over- Her threats were both scary and funny, yet she spoke in a joking tone, a smirk decorating her face as she nudged me a bit. 

-I've got some beers at home, want to go for a drink?- She asked me, I didn't give a second thought to it, I nodded and we both went to her house. After getting inside, we both flopped down on the couch after getting the pack of beers.

We played some video games, while we took a few chugs at our beers, however we started to grow bored rather quick, I placed my beer down, it has been nearly three months since we met each other, and I feel like I can actually trust her, in a different way than usual.

-I never expected for both of us to be so close, you know?- She started to speak, wait a moment, did she felt the same way as me? About us and our relationship? I know I had gotten her to open up a bit more to me, I have seen her blush and get flustered, angry too, but nothing far from that.

-Can I ask you something? Why did you choose to be nice with me?- She asked, I opened my eyes and blinked a few times, I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out.

-I... don't know... I don't have an answer this time- That was actually a good question, I don't know what pushed me to act friendly towards her, she's the least friendly-looking person in the whole school, yet there was something about Annie that caught my attention. 

However, I got off the clouds, when I heard a soft chuckle escape her pink lips, that soft chuckle grew into a laughter. Her laugh was so  genuine, playful, I can't even begin understand why I'm feeling so exposed JUST by the simple fact of hearing Annie laugh.

-You really are a character...- She shook her head, and her laugh slowly stopped, a soft blush was spread across her face, and this time a gentle smile accompanied the blush. I don't know what made me do what I did, I pulled Annie from her jacket and closer to me, I looked into her blue eyes for a second, before I crashed our lips together.

At first she was surprised, but she let herself drift into it. I felt her run her fingers through my hair, she slowly fell back as I started to lean forwards, up to the point I was on top of her, the kiss got wilder and more passionate, my tongue licked her lips, begging for entrance, she opened them and I let my instinct drive me crazy, my tongue forced its way inside her mouth, it was so warm and nice, I was enjoying this more than I should, and I knew she was enjoying this too, as a soft moan-like whimper escaped her mouth.

We had to break apart as we started to ran out of air, we both panted slightly, our faces red as a cherry, adrenaline rushing through our bodies as to what took place.

-Wh-What just happened?...- She asked, her eyes staring at me in disbelief, I bit my lip and laughed the same way I did earlier.

-We just kissed?...- I replied, shrugging my shoulders, she was about to kiss me again, when we heard the door knob twitch, we pulled away very quickly, our hair was disheveled, our faces flushed red. I hurried to get up and grab my things, before her brothers saw us.

-Hey guys! Bye Annie, guys!- I said, waving goodbye at them, before I knew it, I was in my house already, I didn't say a word to Mikasa or my parents, I just walked up to my room and locked the door.

-Annie...- I muttered her name, clutching to the bed sheets as my heart raced up at the mere thought of her, that sweet scent in her clothes, her silky golden hair, those sky-blue eyes that remind me of the bright skies, and the vast ocean.

-I guess... I'm in love with you...- As I pronounce those words, a light chuckle escapes from my lips. She acts cold as the snow, but the snow is soft too, maybe she's also?... I think I should go to bed now, perhaps things will be clearer tomorrow.

Annie's POV

After Reiner and Bert got home, and Eren left as quick as possible, I walked up to my room and locked myself in it. Moments ago, Eren kissed me with such a passion, it left me dumbfounded, it was so fast I didn't have the chance to enjoy it the way I wanted it. His lips felt so warm, the way he held me close to him, and his hand clasped with mine, all those things made my heart race and my body melt.

-I fell for the most reckless guy in the whole school...- I whispered to myself, slowly letting that sink in my mind. Of all the people in the world, I had to fall for Eren Jaeger. I don't know how to feel, what would I tell him on Monday? This is seriously the last thing I needed, and now I want it more than ever, goddamn it.
