Morning

Annie's POV

As I woke up, I felt a couple of arms wrapped around my waist, my body was gently pressed against someone else, I looked up and saw who it was, Eren. He's still wearing the school's uniform, I must have him pretty worried when I didn't go to class yesterday, well, at least it's Saturday. I saw him twitch a bit when I tried to move my hands, damn, I woke him up.

-Good morning, beautiful- He spoke, his voice rough and thick with sleep, I gotta admit, his morning voice was attractive, deep, rough. I shook those thoughts away from my head, and smiled up at him.

-Morning, handsome- I lazily replied, he chuckled softly and I slowly sat up, yawning as I stretched, Eren wrapped his arms around my hips and his lips rested on my lower back, but my hoodie prevented them from touching my skin, he stood up and started to plant small kisses from my cheek and when he was about to lock our lips together, a few knocks on the door stopped us.

-Hey lovebirds, we got someone looking for Eren!- We both groaned, our small moment together ruined, I told him to go see who it was while I take a shower and got dressed, but it's not like I don't have an idea of who could it be. About 30 or more minutes later, I walked downstairs to see who it was, turned out to be Mikasa, Armin and Eren's mom, Carla.

-Good morning Miss Jaeger, it's nice to see you- I greeted her, I gave her a brief hug, a warm smile crossed her face, and her eyes darted towards Eren, he seemed to react, and scratched the back of his head in a nervous manner.

-Um... Annie, look I gotta go back to my house, if you need to talk to someone, call me, alright?- He spoke in a comforting way, his hands gripped softly at my arms, I nodded and he planted a small peck on my lips, he rested his forehead against mine for a second, before pulling away and walking towards the door, I waved goodbye at them, those teal green orbs of his let me know he was true about it.

-Hey, Eren!- I called him out, he stopped walking to look back at me, our eyes locked together, I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face, nor the slight blush.

-If you come here running, I'll kick your ass for it- He smirked and chuckled, he nodded and assumed his walk, I got inside and closed the door, when I turned around, I met with Reiner and Bertolt's suggestive looks.

-Nothing happened, you couple of giant idiots- I replied, giving them a stern look, they moved aside to let me walk towards the kitchen, I grabbed an apple and gave it a bite, leaning against the counter, I saw Reiner walk towards me, I looked at him through the corner of my eye, his arms were crossed across his chest, he looked back at me, then down to the floor.

-Mom sent a text last night, she said Dad's going into surgery in tomorrow... She doesn't want to tell us what he has, yet- I sighed, swallowing what I had in my mouth, I shook my head, as always, she doesn't want to worry us more than we already are, but I can't blame her. After all, she's a mother.

-All we can do now is hope everything goes alright- Bertolt spoke as he walked in too, we all nodded, they both looked at the ground, but I just couldn't. 

My father isn't the lovey-dovey type of father most have, he's strict, he's tough, he's hot-headed, besides being my father, he's also my trainer, he's the one who taught me how to fight, and he raised me his way, but the day me and my brothers left for a better life in here, that was the first day he showed his love for me in a way most parents would have done, he hugged me tightly, he cried on my shoulders, he asked... No, he begged for forgiveness, of all those years he made me suffer with the roughest regime, basically my whole life.

I wish I spoke up to him that day, instead of just staying quiet, now... I don't even know if he's going to be alive the day after tomorrow. How cruel can life be, and how stupid can us humans be, taking things for granted, and never realizing how much they actually mean to us until we're about to lose them. I have to get out of the house for a while, I grabbed my bag and my keys, put on my sneakers and walked out of the house.

-Mmm...- I stopped walking after a while, since I walked in a straight line I could easily return home so I didn't have to worry about that, I sat down on the grass, in a small hill next to the road, the typical one you see in the Japanese animations? The one with the typical flowing river at the end? Yeah, that kind.

I picked my phone from inside my bag, and searched through the contact's list, I stopped when I saw Eren's name, I thought about it for a second, it has been, what? 2 or 3 hours since he left for his house, he did say I could call him if I needed someone to talk to, I don't wanna bother him but... I could really use some company at the moment...

-Hello? Annie is everything alright?- He asked as soon as he picked up his phone, I nodded, but then I remembered he couldn't see me.

-Yeah, I just... wanted to talk a bit- I replied, my finger twirling the grass next to me.

-Would you like me to come over and be with you?- I stood in silence for a second, I sighed and spoke up.

-If it isn't too much trouble... I'm on a hill, about 10 minutes from my home, just walk in a straight line.

-Alright, see you in a bit- With that, he hung up, once again I put my phone inside my bag, and patiently waited for him to arrive, my eyes focused on the flowing river, the calming sound of the water hitting softly against the small pebbles and rocks. And the sun reflecting on the clear liquid, in another moment, I would have thought of it as something beautiful and relaxing, but now it looked so... monotone.
