Eren's POV

As soon as my call with Annie finished, I got up and ready to meet with her. I told my mom where I was going and set off. Following her instructions, it didn't take me long to find her, she was sitting on the grass, alone, wearing a sleeveless white tee, and jeans, along with sneakers. Her gaze was focused on the river in front of her, expressionless face, as always. I walked up to her, she heard my footsteps and turned her head towards me, her eyes following me until I sat down.

She didn't speak, not a single sound came from her, she simply sighed, and looked back to the water. There was a silence between us, it wasn't uncomfortable, it wasn't romantic or anything, it was just a mere silence, and after a few moments, I finally spoke.

-Feeling alright?- I tried not to stutter, I still have no idea how I spoke in such a comforting manner last night, it was something that came out so natural and true, and now, it was like I lost it or something? It was probably for the fact that I was tired and stressed from both school and my worries for her that got me like that.

-Not alright, but I don't feel bad either, just... full of regrets- She finished her sentence with a soft sigh, she pulled her legs to her chest, hugging them as she simply rested her chin on her knees, gaze never leaving the horizon.

-Maybe I should just take a train or a bus, and never look back. Forget all about this and start a new life- As soon as I heard those words, I started laughing out loud, she looked at me as if she questioned my sanity.

-Seems like you didn't get enough sleep last night- My laughter slowly died until the last that was heard was a soft chuckle, her eyes opened widely in surprise when I softly caressed her cheek with my thumb, I smiled softly, comfortingly, which only seemed to confuse her even more.

-Because if that were to happen, I would have to either go with you or search for you, and both would end up in me bringing you back- She raised an eyebrow and smirked, we got off the ground, I took a deep breath and smiled.

-Want to have a sparring session? So you can clear your mind?- She looked around, let go of my hands, took a step back and raised her fists, I did the same as her, our positions almost the same, we exchanged glances before we began fighting.

It's probably noon already, we're both sweaty and panting, a few bruises on my face and arm but I couldn't care less, luckily I brought a black t-shirt today, or else my mom would have killed me once I got home. I got distracted and put my guard down for a second, she took advantage and knocked me to the ground, I yelped and clenched my teeth, I opened my eyes, and they locked with Annie's, once again her beautiful blue orbs were filled with life, just like other times, even if she was on top of me, and she just kicked my butt like she does whenever we're sparring, I couldn't help the smile that crossed my face.

-It's nice to see you like this again...- I whispered softly, Annie blushed for a few seconds and got off from me, I stood up, shaking the dust off my clothes. She grabbed her stuff and I walked her back to her house, we stood in the doorway for a few seconds, before I realized, she grabbed my shirt and pulled me in for a deep kiss, I was shocked at first to say the least, it was sudden but I soon found myself deepening the kiss as I grabbed the back of her head, our bodies pressed together, the kiss got more passionate as I towered over her.

We kissed for a few moments, even if it felt like a wonderful eternal fraction of time, until we were running out of air. We pulled apart, the kiss went from sweet to passionate and finally innocent, a wave of emotions hitting me and her probably, we stared into each other's eyes, green meeting blue once again, our faces flushed red and I could feel the heat emitting from our bodies.

-ARE YOU GUYS COMING IN OR WHAT?!- We heard Reiner yell from the inside, and there goes our passionate moment once again ruined by him, we both sighed and Annie opened the door, I had to go get a change of clothes and so she did, so we waved goodbye, and I started walking back home.

On the way back, I could still savor her in my lips, her sweet lip gloss, her warmness, at first, when we started dating, since I had no experience with dating before, I thought these were at first feelings, but they have grown stronger over the last few months together. I think... I'm truly in love with her, at the end.

I sigh to myself, chuckling under my breath as I open the door of my house, I know I said it the first time we kissed, alone in my room, that night. But it feels different now, I feel relieved, and worried at the same time, I don't know if she loves me as much as I do, and I don't know how to tell her, or if I should even tell her in first place. Maybe I should consult with my father once he's home.... I'll wait and see.
