Annie's POV
I still can't believe what happened back in my house a few days ago, I can barely focus on the class, I try to take notes but it's getting more difficult for me, I can't stop thinking about Eren, I keep playing with my pencil, good thing I have it, otherwise I would be biting my nails and that won't be nice.
Thank god the school bell ringed, signaling lunch time. I grabbed my stuff and rushed to the open door, being the first one to get our of the classroom, I didn't look back, that's not an option if I don't want to face Eren, instead of going to the backyard like always, I walked, or more like ran to the rooftop, I closed the door behind me, and sat down on the floor.
-What should I do?...- I asked myself, my words were barely audible and yet they hit me like bullets, the sound of them echoing inside my head, they slowly drove me crazy, choices are hard to make, and that scares me. I eat as much as I can, I'm not feeling hungry today, and walk downstairs to my locker.
When I open my locker's door, a small note falls from the inside, I pick it up and unfold it, on the inside it's written ''Roses are red, your eyes are blue, could you forgive me for what I did to you?...'' I gulped, especially when I read who signed it, Eren, of course. When I looked to the left, Eren was sheepishly looking down, his cheeks were flushed and he was hiding behind the wall. I walked up to him, and he smiled down at me.
-We should go somewhere more private- I told him, he nodded and we walked inside the classroom again, he closed the door behind us, and I pulled the shades down so no one would bother us.
-A-Are you mad at me? It's alright if y-you are because I shouldn't have acted to recklessly and-
-I'm not mad at you- I cut him off before he ran out of air to speak, he looked at me, dumbfounded and confused, I nodded and tucked away a few bangs from my face.
-It's just, no one has shown that kind of feelings towards me before, I panicked and started to evade you, because I didn't know how to react- I turned my back at him, it's easier for me to speak and tell him these things like this, I felt one hand in my shoulder, that gently made me face his jade eyes, those eyes that sent my heart into overdrive whenever they locked with my own.
-Then let's start slowly, we won't do anything we don't feel comfortable with, okay?- I'm surprised at how understanding Eren is being with me about it, I nod softly, looking down at the ground for a second before looking up again. I got on my tiptoes, and closed my eyes, he leaned forward and we kissed each other for a second, it was just a peck on the lips, but it felt so right, we both pulled apart when someone opened the door.
-Oh! Hey Eren, Annie! We didn't know you were in here!... Please don't tell anyone- The ones who opened the doors were Sasha and Connie, who smiled nervously at us, we excused ourselves out of the classroom and closed the door behind us, and started to walk away rather quickly.
-Were they going to...- Eren didn't finish his sentence, we're still in shock from what we witnessed seconds ago, or at least what our minds thought would happen.
-I don't think I want to know...- I replied, my hands sliding inside the pockets of my jacket as we walked away from there. Eren started to laugh, a bit louder than supposed, a big, goofy and handsome smile on his face, since no one was around, I let out a soft chuckle, just loud enough for both of us to hear it only.
When I returned home today, I met with the curiosity-filled eyes of my two older brothers, a kind smile on Bert's face, and devilish grin on Reiner's face. I took a step towards the stairs, but soon found my way blocked.
-Does our little sister have a boyfriend?- Bert asked in a singing tone, I flipped both of them over and walked past them and got inside my room.
-I told you it was a bad idea to ask...- I heard him tell Reiner before I locked myself inside, he was right about it, it was indeed a bad idea.
