The sun was shining bright as I woke up. My cat, Deli, was meowing for food, so I got up and let her out of my room. My younger sister Rocket always gets up early, so I was sure she would feed her.

Just as I got back into bed, Rocket zoomed into my room. "Chip! Chip!" She shouted. "You need to see this news report now!" "Rocket, I'm sleeping..." I mumbled as I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. "No, you're not!" She insisted. "C'mon!" She then grabbed my arm and pulled me downstairs. Then, I poured myself a bowl of Cinnamon O's, my favourite cereal and sat down on the couch with Rocket.

"Now, here's our next story on News4U," the news reporter, Holi said. "The ancient city Minetopia is in grave danger, and we need a team of up to 7 people and two pets to go on a journey to save it. If Minetopia is destroyed, our history will be lost and the world will remain in sadness and darkness for the rest of time. If you would like to save Minetopia, please call 555-4531. And now for our next story. The world is running very low on potatoes because farmers..." I almost dropped my cereal bowl as Holi continued the next story. At the same time, Deli dropped her jaws. I had always wanted to go to Minetopia.

"What if we go?" I asked Rocket. A shocked look wiped across her face. "U-Us?" She asked. "We can't go, can we?! I mean, we can try, but..." "Just please give me the phone!" I interrupted. "Before someone else goes instead!" Rocket gave me the phone and I dialled the number. After that, I called my five friends, Chad, Travis, Blue, Kaylz and Fan.

After some time, my friends were here with all of our stuff packed. "We should decide a team name," Travis suggested. I nodded, then tried to think of a team name.

We spent a few minutes trying to decide a name when Blue suddenly blurted out, "How about Team Brightfire?" "Team Brightfire sounds like a good name," Chad agreed. Everyone else seemed to be ok with it as well, judging by the nods and the mutters of agreement. "Ok then," I said. "Team Brightfire it is." After that, I checked twice to make sure all the doors to the house were locked, everything was clean and that we had no old food. Then, we left the house and began our journey.

"Alright," I declared. "Lets do this!"
