Chapter 9: We made it!

"Chip, wake up," Firefang encouraged as he licked me on the cheek. I opened my eyes, and everything was a blur. I rubbed my eyes, then looked up to see Deli standing next to Firefang, both smiling. Even though it was 6:15 in the morning, it was time for everyone to get up. I put my clothes on, brushed my teeth and fur, made my bed, packed everything up and started breakfast.

Later, breakfast was ready and so was everyone else. Chad and Fan, being food lovers, had an eating contest. Blue, Rocket, Travis, Kaylz and I just stared at them, exchanging curious faces as they stuffed sausages and pancakes into their mouths.

After breakfast, I sharpened my sword while Deli sharpened her claws, and we all wished each other good luck.

As we stepped across the Minetopia bridge, I thought of when we first started our journey and me saying, "Lets do this!". I had never traveled this far in my life. Neither had Deli, or Rocket, or anyone else with me right now. When we finished crossing, I suddenly noticed a small cage, similar to a bird cage. Then I thought about that night in cold crystal mountain where Firefang had that weird dream. "Chip?" Firefang whispered. "Is something wrong?" "N-no." I lied. "I'm just...excited to battle!" I looked around at Minetopia. It would have looked better if the temples and buildings weren't cracked and damaged. "...Paige? Molly? Where'd you run off to?" I heard a voice say. "C'mon guys, the gang from Waflen City is gonna be here soon, and I want you to meet them!" "Stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh..." Blue said. "Stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh stuh..." "Are you ok?" Chad asked. "Stuh stuh stuh stuh...... STACEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Blue screamed as she ran up to a brown haired freckle-faced girl, wrapping her arms around her waist. I then remembered that Stacey, otherwise known as Staceyplays, was Blues favorite youtuber.

"Stacey! What happened?" asked an orange cat with green eyes and a British accent. "Are you ok?" "Yeah, I'm fine." Stacey replied. "Hey, are you guys the gang from Waflen City?" "Yeah," I answered. "My name's Chip, and this is Fan, Chad, Travis, Deli, Firefang, Rocket, Blue and Kaylz." "Oh. Welcome to Minetopia!" Stacey welcomed. "My name's Stacey, and this is Stampy. Oh, and here comes Sky and ExplodingTNT." Sky held out his sword and smiled. "Welcome to Minetopia!" He greeted bravely. "Do you have any interest in joining the budder army? We kill squids and eat budder all day long!!!" I was about to answer when suddenly I heard a rumble.

"No time to talk now," I said quickly, trying to hide my anxiety. "Gotta go!" I darted away with everyone else. "But wait," protested Blue. "I didn't get a chance to-" "We can meet Stacey later!" Kaylz interrupted. We stopped to see a broken wall made of chiselled stone. There was a dragon statue that looked peculiar, and it reminded me of something. I couldn't remember what it was, though, and I was too curious to try and figure it out. "Don't touch it!" ExplodingTNT called out from a distance.

His warning came too late, though, and my hand was already touching the dragons chest. Suddenly, the sky turned red, then navy blue, then the darkest shade of purple. A light came bursting out of the dragons chest too bright for me to see. "Chip..." said Rocket. "What's happening?" "What?!" I shouted since the wind was blowing loudly, making it hard for me to hear her. "I said, whats happening?!" Rocket shouted louder. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" "WHATS HAPPENING?!?!" "STOP HALLOWEEN???" "WHATS HAPPENING?????!!!!!" "I STILL CAN'T HEAR YOU!" "WHATS-never mind." The light was getting brighter and brighter with every second. Then it stopped. I looked again to see the same statue, except it wasn't a statue anymore. It was black, its eyes closed and its neck curled down.

We took a step closer to see what happened when suddenly, its eyes opened and its neck went into a straight position.
