(OLD) The adventures of Minetopia

(For Blue) Chapter 8: Robotic new friends

(I would like to wish The_Blue11 a very happy birthday, which, unfortunately she spent in bed with the flu 😔 Blue, if you are reading this, I hope you get well soon and have a happy birthday once you're better 😀)

(Now, back to the story): I scrambled up a hill with Fan and Blue, hoping to get a good view of what the Golem cottages looked like. Obviously, there were golems. "Look!" shouted Rocket. "A golem is holding out a poppy!" I snapped a picture of it, then went up to say hello. Deli and Firefang bowed as a bunch of iron golems and snow golems came up. "Hello." Firefang greeted as we shook hands and smiled politely.

"Where do you come from?" One golem asked in sort of a robotic voice. "My name is Chip," I replied. "And we come from a place called Waflen City." "We've been traveling for four days," Kaylz explained. "Four days?!" echoed an iron golem. "Sounds like a VERY long way!" "Anyway," said Fan. "We're on our way to Minetopia, so we have to find somewhere to sleep. Goodbye!" "It was nice meeting you!" Chad called as he followed everyone else. The golems bowed as we walked away.

A few minutes after we left the golem cottages, we came to see a bridge. It was made of diamonds, emeralds and gold, with an arch on the bottom so that squids could pass through in the river below. And to top it off like a cherry, there were beacons on both ends of the bridge. "Well, lets cross!" Travis suggested excitedly and impatiently. "But first, lets call it a day," I objected politely. "I mean, there's a cabin right next to us, so lets camp there."

We walked into a beautiful spruce wood cabin with a table and chairs. It also had a fridge with food that the last people must have left for us. Firefang went upstairs, with every one of his joints hurting from walking so much. As Deli and I followed him, I gasped when I saw what our room looked like. Four bunk beds with private rooms, a redstone light and a shower was like a luxury hotel room compared to me and Rockets room back at home.

By the time we all had a light dinner and took turns having 3 minute showers, it was finally time to go to sleep. "Well, guys," I said as we got into bed, ready to turn off the light. "One more night of camping and tomorrow we'll be at Minetopia!" "Now, lets get some sleep, ok?" Rocket added. "We've got a big day ahead of us!" Thats true, I thought as I lay my head on the pillow. And I think we're ready for it!
